I don't think I've had a better fish supper.... Just amazing. Fish was cooked perfectly, melt in you mouth stuff, batter was perfectly crispy and not too thick and the chips were superb, I will be back soon and I'll be telling everyone about it.
This is probably one of the best fish and chip shops around the UK. Granted, you can’t currently sit in due to COVID-19 restrictions, but that doesn’t stop the food from being amazing! Normally when sitting in, for an extra £1 you can order tea and buttered bread for the table. Obviously this isn’t possible at the moment. I usually go for a black pudding supper, for non-Scots that’s a deep-fried black pudding with chips followed by the classic — a deep-fried Mars Bar. Soft, slightly melting inside and still warm, this is some of the best food in Scotland. If you’re ever up on the coast near Elgin, head down the road to Fochabers Fish Bar and drop in. You won’t be disappointed!
Freshly cooked fish and chips, only had to wait 5 mins this evening. Social distancing measures in place and staff were very friendly and efficient. The establishment was spotless as usual. Food was delicious, highly recommended.
The fish and chips were delicious, fresh fish, crispy light batter and great chips. Nice touch with the lemon wedge and pot of tartare sauce. Good service and friendly staff. I highly recommend and will certainly be visiting again
Stopped in past here on the way to Inverness yesterday and was not disappointed. The fish was crispy yet juicy and chips were lovely too. Definitely recommend!
Absolutely fantastic fish suppers. Beautifully cooked to perfection. There's usually a que...which is probably a good sign! Be prepared to wait. It's well worth it.
As a regular customer I can see how it has won so many awards. The food is amazing especially the battered haddock and the free tartare sauce is the best liquid on the planet. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is well designed.
The fish and chips served here was excellent so fresh and a nice portion also. The restaurant part is not open but you can make your order via a small wondow. You are given a buzzer which activates once your order is ready. We did have long to wait and it was not too busy. The village of Fochabers may have a by-pass but it is certainly worth a visit to see what the village has to offer.
"The" Best chipper in Scotland. Fish supper is Wow... Staff are great, chips are Awesome, Fish is Always fresh... Good Feed...! Food: 5/5
Lovely fresh fish. Perfect chips. Comes with a sauce portion and slice of lemon, lovely touch
