This is such an awesome cafe. The staff are always lovely despite the place being busy all the time. The cakes are to die for. The coffee is beautifully prepared and delicious. Lots of seats inside and outside. The fact this is located right by the car park to one of the nicest walks in the Pentlands is simply amazing. Long walk and reward with a huge slab of cake and a coffee :
I'm sure the cafe is a nice place to eat in, but if you would like to spend more time indulging yourself in fifty tones of purple and green, they have wonderful selections that can be easily backed in the backpack for later. They provide good advice on where to go as well.
It’s a wee gem. The best takeaway hot chocolate I’ve ever had dairy free! and they also have gluten free cake Just what I needed after my walk with my dog. Looking forward to coming back! Thank you! :
We stopped here today after a beautiful walk. My 4 year old daughter had a ham toastie and declared it the best sandwich in the world. We also enjoyed the soup we had. Would definitely recommend and we look forward to trying the cafe again
Amazing place, friendly staff and the best coffee and soup ever! The place is also dog friendly and in a beautiful location for walks in the Pentlands!
Looks lovely. However bought 2 small bottles of orange Juice and can of soft drink over the counter for take away, it cost £9. Make sure you ask for a price before purchase. I could not see an obvious cost advertised as I paid. This price for three non alcoholic drinks is too high for carryout and I felt it was almost an ambush. The costs are probably shown somewhere but it's not obvious enough. I would not purchase from them again without knowing what I am paying.
We had a lovely lunch break at this wee hidden gem. We had the soup of the day, a panini and the meal of day. A lovely Italian recipe that tasted fantastic. The owner is very friendly and both felt so cosy. What a perfect wee hidden place before or after enjoying a walk at the reservoir. Thank you for this new moment and we’ll definitely come back.
A little bit expensive price but the fresh coffee and comparely small cake especially the honey cake are good choice for the people need a break. More than 50 parking lots, toilet , outdoor tables for your doggies. You should try to feel the place.
Fantastic cafe with great coffee, home made mouth watering cakes, fabulous wholesome soups - a gem of a cafe, what a treat! Very cosy and welcoming ambiance too if you want to sit-in.
Very remote, but a great stopping place to charge up before a hike, or wind down after one. Food is decent, and matches the price point.
