Florentine is an all-day dining restaurant and bar minutes from London South Bank’s trendy Lower Marsh and Waterloo, opposite Lambeth North tube station.

Florentine serves a Brasserie-style menu with a focus on flatbreads cooked in a wood-fired oven and our signature Ostrich egg dishes.

Our bar features the best of British bubbles and craft beers as well as a range of superfood cocktails, with DJ sessions throughout the evenings and weekends for a refreshing, relaxed vibe.

Visited here on Christmas Day for dinner. Really nice restaurant based in the park plaza Waterloo hotel. For starters I had the garlic bread which was really nice and I had the chicken skewers, unfortunately they were under cooked, and you could still see the pink in the chicken. The sea bass was really nice and the steak was good too. The service was really slow, and all our food did not come out at the same time. My sister ordered a steak and chips and the chips arrived when she had finished her steak. Maybe as it was Christmas the staff were rushed off their feet so could not deliver a great service. Really nice hotel and would definitely visit again maybe at a less busier time.

This restaurant has great promise but disappoints on many levels, I am afraid. The food was average, which aligns with many of the other comments here. However, the star of the show is unfortunately the rather dismal service—or shall I say, the lack thereof. I am not usually one to leave reviews, but I felt I needed to here, as I came with my mum for a special occasion.  When we walked in, no one came to greet us, and we had to ask numerous times to be seated. We then ordered cocktails, which took so long that I wondered if they had forgotten the ingredients and had to go to the shop to get them. When we finally ordered food—after asking three times—we then had to ask twice about our cocktails. Meanwhile, the staff seemed to be standing around talking, and I almost felt bad for interrupting their conversation.  When I asked about the cocktails, I was told they were on the way. The food then arrived before the drinks, and when I tried to ask for some sauces, the server had, quite frankly, vanished. The other server, who was having a conversation with the chef, didn’t seem to notice, and eventually, they brought the sauces.  The food was nice, I will grant them that, and if the service had been above the standard we received, we would consider returning. However, our final verdict was that this restaurant does not care about its customers, and we did not leave a service charge.

Last week Upon arriving at the bar with a party of four, I was feeling somewhat nauseous and, to my dismay, unable to find a suitable option on the menu. Seeking something refreshing yet non-alcoholic, I approached the bartender, who I believe was named Iman. Her attentiveness and creativity were immediately apparent when she graciously suggested crafting a fresh iced tea entirely from scratch.  Not only was the iced tea among the finest I’ve ever had—so much so that I ordered four of them—but her skill extended to the amaretto sours as well, which were equally exceptional. What truly set her apart was her unwavering commitment to service; after we had relocated to the restaurant section of the establishment, she took the time to personally ensure that our experience remained flawless.  Iman is undoubtedly a bartender of remarkable skill and dedication, elevating the evening with her exemplary service and attentiveness.

Visited the restaurant because I wanted to try something I saw in the pictures, turned out they changed the menu, maybe I'm being harsh but it felt like bad advertizing. As usual I ordered whatever they recommended for me so I expected the best from them, unfortunately the food was average for its price. The waiters are nice but they forgot about me at some point, had to leave my seat to pay the bill, which is not a big deal but can be irritating since they charge for service.

This restaurant is great for a night out with family. Great ambience and a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend going if you live around Waterloo. 10/10, Staff were very helpful and very kind in assisting us. Edward was helpful and was a very nice person, who was also approachable. Vas was also very friendly and helpful.Food: 5/5

Waited nearly 10 mins to be seated despite the restaurant being practically empty. Should have left at that point as it continued to go downhill from there. Service was slow and serving staff looked like they didn't want to be there. The manager was visibly irritated when I wanted to sit in a quieter corner not in the middle of loads of other cramped tables. Food was average at best - pizza more like cheese on toast and nothing like 'authentic Italian' as claimed on the menu. Took ages to get the bill which included the first time I've had to doggy bag my own food when staff just gave me a sheet of foil. I'm a Radisson VIP member and was told they couldn't apply my members discount with the ecological offer as the manager didn't allow - I couldn't be bothered to argue so just took off the service charge. I gave 1 extra star for atmosphere as a staff member told a Scottish lady she couldn't understand her, with predictable results. Avoid and go elsewhere around Waterloo.

Poor service but excellent tasting food. My son’s pizza came over 5 minutes after the rest of the meals were brought out. We also didn’t get our drinks, had to ask twice only to find out they didn’t have some of the ingredients to make what we ordered.Food: 5/5

The ambiance is superb, I highly recommend this restaurant, the food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Special thanks Iman  she made me feel very welcomed and had great knowledge about the menu,lovely character highly recommended!Food: 4/5

JEESHMA & ABHISHEK took care of us at the bar for the past two evenings and were absolutely fantastic. They were very engaging. We had a great time exchanging stories, laughing and enjoying our time spent there. I highly recommend everyone that stays at the hotel stop in and enjoy their hospitality and wonderful service.Service: 5/5
