I went to see a concert here last night, and it was absolutely amazing. The castle was breathtaking, like something from a fairytale. The inhabitants were obviously listening to the concert, as they were playing tricks while the artist was performing much to the amusement of the crowds and delight of the artist. The landscape, location, everything is just perfect. If you're visiting the Scottish Borders then a must see.
Very beautiful place to spend a day with the family. There are very nice activities for kids and the tomato soup in the cafeteria is superb. Even though the castle may look boring for kids, they have managed to make some activities that make the visiting very cool. The entrance fee is expensive and to really visit all the places y recommend to start early.
Great castle with a lovely garden and small cafe. We visited on a day that was a bit rainy, so there was only a small group of people. It was a lovely afternoon exploring the castle itself and admiring the gardens.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Absolutely beautiful building & grounds. Not inside for too long considering how big the building is but more than enough in the gardens. The fairytale trail was great fun. Cafe was OK but no light bite menu sandwich/salad/wrap etc more coffee & cake and as normal with these places fairly expensive but nice. A good few hrs spent there for £18 per adult & no charge for children.
Mostly lovely visit to Floors Castle. Lovely castle, superb grounds and nice gardens. However, two issues meant dropped two stars in my view. First was lack of dog friendly stiles on 2.5 mile waymarked walk would have been very difficult for anyone with a large dog, or older person to get over. Second was the Terrace cafe. It was busy so we said we'd sit outside on benches. Then we were given fruit tart in a Indian takeaway box, very, very small coffee and tea and no napkins etc. Also staff didnt say there were tables on the terrace at the back of the cafe. Quite poor service!
Well worth a visit to the castle, grounds & gardens all well served by cafes. Easy to spend a day here.

Beautiful gardens, beautiful building well worth the visit. We did the Peter rabbit trail which was very well thought out. More aimed for older children I'd say 7+ but none the less charming and things to do for the littler ones as well.
What a fantastic place. The staff were all so welcoming - from the man in the hut at the entrance to the staff inside the castle. Friendly, chatty and knowledgeable - a real credit to the estate. We did the fairy tail trail too with my daughter - she loved it! The booklet for the trail was really well put together and kept us all entertained for ages. It was a great way to explore the gardens. We will be back. Really wish we'd been offered the annual pass but didn't know about it till after our visit :
Extensive gardens and estate grounds with excellent tea rooms serving local produce. On the edge of Kelso the entrance is easily missed if you approach from Edinburgh Road direction. Fruit trees and topiary manicured to perfection
