The only way I can describe this place is, it's a sh*t hole. There's mould on the ceiling above the shower and toilet. The wallpapers hanging off on various walls. On checking in we had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come and check us in, there was no one on reception, I had to speak to someone via an intercom. The rooms aren't cheap either, in fact they should be paying us to stay there. The rooms look nothing like the pictures on Trip advisor or Booking.com.
Good value for money. Had 2 good long sleeps in the massive bed. Had a bathsheet which actually wrapped round me and was able to dry and straighten hair sitting down at dressing table with sockets within reach. Making your own breakfast was a new thing for me but the bacon was good quality and there was a good selection and available all day. Would use again if in the area.
I'm a trade plate driver who stops in lots of hotels all week, every week. I found this gem at the cheapest price and yet cheap is not how I would describe it! It was a great atmosphere with people playing pool and friendly staff, the facilities are great and the room matched! My two highlights would definitely be the lady at the desk, she was amazing, very friendly with a great smile, something you don't see at many other places, secondly was the bed, it was really soft, hugging and all round perfect! I had a really stressful day but within moments of entering the Flexistay I felt welcomed and relaxed. There is a pool table, a dart board, some light gym equipment and a full kitchen open to use, unfortunately I'm no Gordon Ramsey, so I only used the microwave but it was all very tidy and well maintained. 10 out of 10, definitely booking next time I'm in the area.
I would not recommend this hotel.Very basic and room could do with a good clean-the window ledge was thick with grime. Mould on ceiling above the shower. You cannot get out onto the main road in peak traffic. I have stayed at spotless B & B s for about the same cost and there is no comparison.
It was bad. The room was dirty, the bed was not made after our first night, the whole place was incredibly noisy as the walls were paper thin - we were kept awake by what sounded like someone's dog running around upstairs. The reception was unmanned and since no-one appeared to have any uniform or way of identifying them as staff it wasn't a great check-in experience. The curtains in the room were broken, the toilet took an extremely long time to refill after flushing and while the bathroom had a corner bath/shower, no plug was provided until after we'd returned to the hotel for our second night to find no other maintenance performed like making the bed, meaning that they must have entered the room but chose not to do anything in terms of sheets, etc. Just generally a bad experience all round and we will not be staying there again.
Very strange place to stay cook your own breakfast which consists of frankfurter bacon eggs grated cheese eggs and beans left in a fridge and a couple of cookers so you can help yourself was very weird. The rooms are clean and in pretty good state of repair. The walls are thin you can here the phone conversion of the person in the next room and was woken early in the morning by the sound of showering builders in the next room. All I all is OK if your looking for cheap accommodation with no frills.
Terrible hotel, very old furniture, train station behind the windows, carpet is fully worn, shower don't have pressure and 30min needed for fixing good temperature, on the door is sign: "your door has been just fitted with new intumescent strip", but no strip was found . Now I'm scared to sleep even one night here.... price for this room is maximum £20 per night, but definitely NOT £46
For the very cheap price I can't believe what other people who have reviewed were expecting. You get what you pay for! I can't fault my stay other than a confusing check-in and check-out system. There's a communal kitchen with TONS of free food, milk, juice and stuff, and the WiFi is included in the price and is of sufficient speed. For these reasons the price is even better! I do agree that the walls are paper thin, but overall for the price I think this place was very good!
Nice place to live just with Motorway great place for travelersRooms: 5/5
