Story

Food for me has always been an adventure.

My aim is to convey my passion for Indian cuisine in a way which gives you a taste of perfect Indian dishes.

I hope you enjoy the taste of our Indian cuisine of the Indian subcontinent.

First visit, definitely not my last. Food was excellent and there were dishes on the menu I've not seen in an Indian restaurant before. Service was excellent and a special effort was made (unprompted) to include a young autistic lad in our party. Thank you

I heard from a reputable source that the genius behind this establishment worked for a locally famous Michelin star restaurant but got tired of inflated prices and convoluted cuisine...... Sounds he branched out on his own and hit the perfect marriage of quality and service! You receive a mange bouche before every course that is insanely delicious. Everything is hand made. Each time I've been they change, modify and experiment with things. Presentation, new elements on the plate etc. But not only are they clearly highly creative and passionate about their food but it's healthy too. No msg, special catering for gluten free people along with always sincerely kind and helpful staff...... I can't fault the place. Even the building is charming! If I were to right more on the specifics of why the food is delicious I'd be here forever due to all the little details done well. Just know it's clean, authentic, delicious, hand made and a lot of care has been made for your dining experience.

Superb stunning food which feeds the eyes in excellent presentation with surprises in between dishes. The taste experiences are genuine with explosions of flavours all subtlety and expertly put together. A rare find of culinary excellence....

The best Indian restaurant in Britain bar none. This is beautifully cooked Indian cuisine, gourmet style. I've eaten here many times and it never disappoints. My son lived in Leicester for many years, there are some exceedingly good Indian restaurants there but he says Kumar's beats them all. Highly recommended.

Superb food, superb service, superb value. What more could you want? Would recommend this place to everyone, what a nice bunch of guys too
