Brilliant place to see. Tour guides are really friendly and informative as one was the last manager before it closed. All they asked for is a donation and to sign the visitors book. Last year they got the queens award for voluntary services 2018.
Very worth while taking time out to experience flame. Super historical insight. Well maintained.
Really excellent free museum staffed by enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers. Northern Ireland's only remaining Victorian gasworks; the fact it's survived, and not been scrapped, is a minor miracle. Great for all ages: my parents and my 3 year old all loved it. I'll definitely be going again.
Visited here as part of the European Heritage Open Day 2016. Great experience, was great to learn about a technology that is very much redundant. Worth going just to get to climb on top of one of the huge gas cylinders!
I had a great tour round the site . A good hour spent with two amiable guides who were very knowledgeable and amusing and up for questions. Very entertaining and enjoyable
Interesting industry museum with enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. Well worth a visit if interested in science, industry or everyday history.
If you enjoy history and especially if you worked in the gas industry this is a must see
Excellent display of gas appliances, how gas was created etc, all explained by 2 wonderful guides, hidden gem in Carrickfergus.
