I've quit RiverBourne to join this gym and it is the best decision I've made! Everyone has different preferences but for me personally this gym is so much better. I usually work out in the morning before going for work, and have had enough frustration from having to wait for the weight rack and machine in RiverBourne. Here it's like heaven for me because I never have to wait for anything! Any time I plan to do some squat and deadlift, the rack and barbells and weights are all there for me! And I don't have to squeeze in any small space to use the cross trainer with sweaty people from both sides either. I can finally do my workout in peace. Each time I'm there I'm always in a good mood because I can do what I want without waiting or disturbance; there is no annoying big fan above my head in RiverBourne that blows away all my body heat and gives me neck pain; toilet/shower is also used as changing room and is much more pleasant, spacious and cleaner than in RiverBourne. Regarding machines, variety is limited, but they are sufficient to train any muscle group of focus if you know what to do. Certain machines focusing on isolated muscle groups are not good for the joints especially the knees anyway, so I don't need those to build up muscles. Compound movement is the key to build up muscles holistically and this gym has everything I need for that purpose. The stretching area is also spacious, clean and quiet for my abs workout on the mat. Overall I'm really happy to join this gym and plan to stay long term. Oh by the way, everyone working there that I've encountered so far has been very friendly and helpful. I've yet to meet that unfriendly staff someone had complained about in another review ; And it IS possible to have morning PT sessions.
It is a nice small Gym but if you are looking for all the conventional weight machines it is lacking leg press for example. They also do not accommodate morning PT sessions and sometimes the staff can be very rude.
Joined Fitness Space after leaving River Bourne as it offered something different. It's a much smaller gym, but offered a much more personal service. Friendly helpful staff, sadly all went and the gym now seems impersonal and is so quiet. On a Monday evening there was one other person at peak time. Gone back to River Bourne and love it.
Small gym. But has everything you need. No pressure to look trendy in gym wear. Staff very helpful but not overbearing. Choice of classes to attend. No big changing rooms but has 2 bathrooms for individual use.
Great place to work out. The PT’s there are brilliant. Wealth of knowledge and also very friendly. The classes are all well worth the membership.
I wished I had found this place sooner,great staff and very helpful. Been coming to FS for around 3 months and the results to me are amazing,the staff are always on hand if you need a hand. I look forward to every session.
