I really loved this restaurant, the food speaks for itself, but here are the things that elevate it from a great restaurant to a superb experience: - the staff are not at all haughty, and have nice conversation with you - I've never been a taramasalata fan, but their homemade one is incredible and a nice touch to start the meal - we ordered oysters which were presented beautifully, and crucially, already cut away from the muscle when served - we were lucky enough to sit at a table next to the owners, David and and Nicky, who were so friendly and approachable. We learned about the oven used for both fish and meat, and their drive for delighting customers came through What a splendid lunch!
Top notch seafood and decent wine in a relaxed environment. We had monkfish and lobster, and both were excellent. Not cheap, but less than we've paid for similar quality elsewhere, so good value. Definitely recommended.

Superb oysters to start and an excellent monkfish in garlic and parsley sauce with mashed peas. Great service. Lovely cherry and almond tart to finish. Fine dining indeed.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday as we're both fish lovers and a friend had recommended this restaurant to us. This place did not disappoint! The staff were lovely, the food was amazing - I genuinely think they served the best muscles I have ever had. The restaurant itself is well decorated, and the atmosphere was cosy and calm. I would absolutely go back. The menu changes daily as they serve everything fresh from the fishmongers next day.
The food was beautiful, the staff were first class and the atmosphere was perfect. We had a great night celebrating ten years married.
Fantastic atmosphere and service. We carefully planned our trip to Bristol, and this restaurant was one of the Must Go places. We booked an early Saturday night dinner. This was our choice for two: Cod cheecks Mussels Scallops Monk fish New potatoes Sparking water x2 Hands down the mussels were our favourite. Very simple but delicious sauce. They have an irresistible smokey flavour from the grill. No wine for us, but that didn't lower the experience one "notch". I'm sure we will back at some point!
A warmth of hospitality that is all to often missing in restaurants today. The staff where very attentive in their service but you felt like you were ordering from friends in a positive manner. The food was amazing and I say that as someone who isn't the greatest fan of seafood. If I could give them 10 stars i would.
Excellent food, lovely service, very cosy venue.
