I got my 5 musk turtles and all of my fish and also 6 aquatic frogs from he, also nearly all heaters, filters, food, toys, and other items nothing is to much for the staff they are very good at giving as much information about anything you ask about would definitely recommend if your just starting out with a new pet x
By far the best aquatic retailor I have ever visited.nnThey have an amazing selection of live stock.nnHigh quality live plants.nnEverything is well priced.nnVery kind, knowledgable and staff.nnWould recomend this for beginners, experienced, and people looking into keeping fish.
Great wee place inside McKinnon mills right at the back far corner plenty of fish to choose from great staff very knowledgeable.
I started with my first aquarium March, this year, and completely fall in love with this hobby, it was inevitable having such a support from the staff from Fishkeepers in Coatbridge. In few months I ended up with, now, 5 aquariums, I spent hours at a time in the shop, all the staff was such a wonderful help and they were so patient with me, my questions and constant visit :DnnMost of what I have now in all my tanks, I bought in this shop, except one out of two male betta fish. Most of the plants and the 120L aquarium, all the fishes and shrimps I bought and brought home are thriving with few exceptions but those are living creatures and no one can predict their exact health or if they will choose to walk out of the tank as one of my bamboo shrimp or pleco which disappeared on the first night never to be seen again/total mystery or shy Khuli Loaches whom I haven't seen in a while, but I am sure they're still there... somewhere :D. All are thriving and breeding.nIf I could I'd be there more frequent visitor, unfortunately my place won't accommodate larger tanks nor more of them XDnnDefinitely highly recommended place to visit! And thank you to all the staff for all the time they've spent patiently on helping and advising me in my new hobby!
Great choice of Malawi cichlids, well stocked and Michael helpful and good to deal with, expertly caught the exact fish we wanted. Came back home to Midlothian with some excellent/beautiful fish, various Elongatis, sprengeri not got a good pic yet for those ones and demisonii. Well worth the trip through and will be back. Pics are of newbies in my tank after settling in which didn't take long as went into full display mode very quickly.
