I wish I'd read these review's first I would have been £6200 better off. The salesman also told me that my heating bills would reduce they've more than doubled over the first winter thank goodness we have only had them upstairs in the bedrooms. I too queried the costs only to be fobbed off in a manner which means whatever you say we couldn't care less. So if you need efficient heating cheap to run DON'T BUY FROM THIS FIRM. 1 star is too good a rating. We also got talked into buying energy from them that another 1 star story

UPDATE FOLLOWING FISCHER'S RESPONSE - 10/02/18 After thanking me for my feedback, Fischer states: "As per the terms and conditions that you signed, Fischer will not compensate customers for higher than expected energy bills and this is our company policy." So I re-read Fischer's Terms and Conditions that carry my signature on the reverse, and it is clear that there is no mention whatsoever of refusal to compensate for higher than expected energy bills. That scuppers their legal argument! We are still left with the unethical trading practice whereby Fischer company policy leaves this customer picking up the tab for their incompetence. Despite their assurance that they are "unhappy to learn that [I am] still dissatisfied" and that "it may not be possible to placate [me] at this stage", if they are, indeed, "unhappy", then they would pay my compensation claim. They would also find that I am very easy to "placate". I believe in fair play but I have no respect for those who do not adhere to it - and their promise of ongoing "customer care" sounds hollow given their lack of care now. They also note that I "have not commented on how well the heater is now operating in [my] home." Yes, it is now connected to the correct circuit! However, the two heaters use more energy to provide a lower level of comfort than the two discarded storage heaters that were installed 21 years ago! It's somewhat ironic that the main reason for my substantial investment was to enjoy greater efficiency and lower energy bills. ORIGINAL REVIEW Positive points first: Fischer replaced a 1.3 kW heater that suddenly emitted strong paraffin-type fumes after 3 weeks use, though the fumes later diminished; also I cannot fault the customer service adviser who tried to assist me with the following but whose hands were tied by the managing director. After removing two old storage heaters last August, the installation team then managed to connect the larger, 2.4 kW, heater to the Standard instead of the Heating energy circuit - a problem that was obvious from meter readings within 24 hours of first using the heaters in October, and which resulted in the larger heater using electricity at nearly double the price. Fischer was unable to send engineers to rectify this for over a month and the delay resulted in a carefully calculated increased cost to me of £30.55. Substantial email correspondence produced repetitions of the same response: we do not help with electricity bills; we do not compensate for electricity usage; etc. Even after two months of spelling the precise problem out to them, they still wrote: "...we do not compensate for higher than expected energy usage under any circumstances." At no time did they acknowledge that this compensation claim was for the additional COST of usage resulting from their installation error. Instead, they eventually offered a so-called goodwill payment of £20 - which I have not accepted - rather than fully reimburse the extra expense that I should not have incurred. And for the sake of another £10, they are also prepared to leave this customer with frustration, disillusionment and now, buyer's remorse at giving them my business. I have not heard from them since 15 December 2017. No doubt they thought I would go away but the injustice remains and four months on I feel an adverse review is justified. However, I am left wondering how my experience fits with this statement in their reply to a 1-star review posted this month: "What people reading this need to bear in mind, is that every issue reported to Fischer is resolved and we make it our priority to ensure our valued customers are left satisfied." Given that Fischer Future Heat has failed to compensate me for their own incompetence, they clearly do not value every customer!

I was told a heater would heat my living room to 21c. When it didn't I complained but was told it was only background heating and needed supplementary heat sources. THIS IS DIRECTLY OPPOSITE TO WHAT I WAS TOLD BY THE SALESMAN and was the reason I purchased the system. My heating bills have risen by 30%.

We had a heater fitted in January, since Thursday the timer has not been switching on in a morning. I tried everything in the book still nothing!!! Rang the company today, Technical services ran through it yet again. All will be revealed in the morning!!! If it does not come on I was informed to ring back & they will SEND ME a new thermostat to install with their help over the phone!!!!! The salesman did not tell us we had to do our own repairs as otherwise would not have had the heater at over £1000!!!!!!!! I have written a letter of complaint as something else happened whilst I was on the phone to Tevhnical Services!!! Sooke to the Manager about it too!!!!! Regret having this heater at the moment.

1 Star is too many... Where to start? Fischer Future Heat sell heaters that are not the colour in their brochure - beware - THEIR HEATERS ARE CREAM, not white. Fischer Future Heat have one of the rudest and incompetent set of staff working the phones that I have ever come across - a bad attitude from some, complete incompetence from others and both from others. Phone calls go un-returned - it is down to the paying customer to do all of the chasing. Staff will put you on hold for 15 minutes, then cut you off. 1 person doesn't seem to know what the next are doing - it's a shambles. I since discovered that Fischer contract other companies to do some work - their infrastructure and communication is non-existent. I had electricians turn up at my door when I was at work, and at that very same moment Fischer denied that they had sent anybody? FISCHER FUTURE HEAT WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF. They brought the wrong water cylinder to my house, removed the old one and then tried to charge me an extra few hundred pound to get the one I needed (looking through the reviews, I notice this has happened before with radiators). A PROPER COWBOY OPERATION. FISCHER FUTURE HEAT WILL INSTALL FAULTY GOODS. My hot water cylinder was installed with a broken thermostat. It took weeks of chasing from my part to fix, not to mention all of the time off work we needed - it was always on their terms. FISCHER FUTURE HEAT WILL INSTALL HEATERS AND WATER CYLINDERS WITH A BLATANT DISREGARD TO SAFETY REGULATIONS. THEY WILL NOT TEST TO SEE THAT THEIR INSTALLATION IS SAFE/OR THEY WILL IGNORE THE RESULTS IF THEY COME BACK NEGATIVE. 1) They installed heaters and a water cylinder at my property without realising I had an Earthing issue - they ignored this and carried on anyway - this was "potentially fatal" according to an independent electrician and "completely unacceptable" according to their own Head Electrician. Basic, simple tests would have proved that there was an issue and they should have acted accordingly, instead they either didn't do/ignored the tests. (I am still unaware as to what went on here as Fischer have shut up shop on this one.) 2) They turn the temperature on the thermostat up to above the recommended, and clearly stated, temperature. Fischer Fischer Future Heat will fob you off with empty apologies and complete lack of responsibility for their own SHAMBOLIC, CROOKED and DANGEROUS service. An absolute shambles from start to finish. You can't speak to anybody with any significance (they are always 'in meetings'), they do not take you seriously and do not care as long as they have their hands on your money. We are currently in discussions with Trading Standards and NICEIC about them. Honestly, do not go anywhere near this company.
