They are great here, always treat my girls with the most kindness. Would also recommend the healthy pets club, for free health checks, nail clips, and worm and flea treatments too. Can usually get parked right outside as well which is a bonus.
Terrible service! never answer the phone, they don't have an email address and when you physically go in there's no one there! I really don't know what's going on in there with the receptionist. Vets are lovely but how do I make an appointment if no one answers?
My bunny came in with a hard to diagnose urine rash due to swelling and got seen to straight away! We only paid for a the medication anti inflammatory and cream that cleared everything up in less than four days. As we’re members of the happy pet club and registered there took less than 10 mins over the phone, his check up followed 7 days later and didn’t cost anything they also made sure their rabbit specialist was in to give an expert opinion on potential cause. He was in the follow up for 20 mins after a low cost manageable treatment that showed results in days - he might of needed injections/weekly treatment. It felt like they did everything possible to keep my best interests at heart a pet owner, as well as my bunny’s specific health needs and potential stress free treatment - he hasn’t stopped binkying since!
Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Female vet working 21/03 at around 6pm was rude and dismissive. Would not recommend if you’re in distress.
We are cat sitting for a friend, had several issues regarding the cat's behaviour and really needed advice. Called First Vets as that is where they were registered to and they were so nice and helpful. We spoke to Megan, you really could tell they cared about animals and went above and beyond with advice.
Trust these guys. Enough said. Edit 06/08/24 They no longer answer the phones. Tried for 3 days, nothing. Just rings and rings and rings. Data breach caused my cc to be cancelled, painful! Constantly revolving door wrt the vets is becoming frustrating as I no longer think that the quality of care is there. Like all vets now, cost is unreal. Looking for another vet.
My 11 year old dog had an operation to remove a large fatty lump at first vets Heaton and this was followed by 3 follow up visits. On every occasion we were both treated with great friendliness, concern and prompt, efficient service. We were seen on time and the 2 nurses were lovely with my nervous dog, instantly putting her at ease. The vet, Andy, was really good and phoned me after the op to explain all was well. He even popped in to see her on one of my return visits. The receptionists were very pleasant and helpful. All in all a 5 star review is well deserved.
I go to the heaton branch with my two cats for nearly three years now. All the staff are so lovely and there really good at getting Loki seen too quickly when he flares up. The receptionists are so polite also and really helpful. Prices are reasonable and I trust them with my pets. Recommend definitely!
Fantastic vets with great staff. The vet nurses are especially lovely and I always feel like my guinea pigs are well looked after when I drop them off. Reasonably priced and great treatment. Wouldn't go to any other vet than FirstVets any branch.
The staff are so welcoming and always cheerful.tetso friendly and explained everything that she was doing.a follow up call wa so quick and put me at ease
