One of the worst bus companies I have come across I'm at oldham mumps on the 84 right next to the depot and driver left been waiting here for half an hour with a full bus of people...the drivers are so incompitant....do not waste your money on this company absolute joke
I only use them a few times a year, fares are cheaper now at least. Drivers don't stick to schedule though. Bus came 10 minutes early today looking at the map and the next one won't be for another 15 minutes. So I'll probably go from being weekly at work to late at work. This used to have all the time when I traveled on them before lockdown. If anything it has only become worse sadly
Very welcomed onboard and time table almost perfect but the problem is not there's roadworks in oldham
Absolutely dreadful I take the 83 to work and it's constantly 20+ minutes late which means that I have to keep asking my dad for a lift or I'll constantly late. Not to mention how half the time they just drive off if they're late. And from Manchester they just come whenever they want and the bus drivers just park at the top of the street and relax for half an hour before they let anybody on. Funny that they're supposed to be every 10 minutes you're lucky if you get 2 an hour.
It's a poorly run company that's only aim to to please It's shear holders while exploiting the paying public. The actual buses are just heaps of trash metal that are very dirty extremely dirty. A contract dispute between drivers and the company has led current drivers to believe they can take their bad days out on the public. Glad the union fooked up the contact dispute and lost a lot of drivers jobs love how the drivers thought the union will keep them safe haha.
Most buses are great however I have experienced bad times with First Greater Manchester including waiting over an hour for the 181 in that time there should have been 5 and numerous times waiting ages for the 59. I have complained to First by email on both occasions and for the 59, I got a polite response informing me that they will monitor the service but for the 181, I got a polite response with general excuses on why buses are late and that it is out of control. Replied back to the email saying I feel that their response was as if they were not interested and dismissive of the issues on the 181 and to this day I have not had a response from First. I feel that the customer service team can be patchy at First as I feel my 181 complaint did not get taken seriously.
Today I lost my phone on the 350 bus from Ashton to Oldham. After giving up hope of ever seeing it again my workmate called the depot to my amazement it had been handed in to the driver. And the driver handed it into rhe Depot. Thanks so much its nice to see that there are honest people in the world. Although the phone was worth a few quid its the pictures and numbers that are invaluable.
348 always late or just dont turn up. The app doesnt tell you if its been cancelled they just say due and never turn up. Theyve got what they wanted out their strikes and then proceed to be late?
Information office at the bus garage helpful, but the provision of bus services on the Friday evenings after 5:30pm needs to be vastly improved. To many of the scheduled buses are cancelled, with no notice, resulting in you having to wait for over an hour for your next bus, this on a 20 or 30 minutes time schedule. If you were made aware of the cancellation of the particular scheduled service, you would be able to walk home the 3 miles distance before the next service bus arrives at your disembarkation stop.
The worst transport company in Manchester. On 8 October i waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for a bus to come181.The bus time was 17.05pm and it came at 18.15pm.They deserve 0 stars.
