The 13:53 bus at Springfield View in South Queensferry today was 5 minutes or so late. Not good. Any compensation I wonder for late buses? Same on August 11th 2023, this time the bus didn’t arrive at the allocated time of 13:53. Update: the bus on Saturday 12th August 2023 didn’t come at all at 13:53. Update on Sunday 31st March 2024, the bus at 8:58am did not stop at Long Crook for me because of a 747 bus which was in front. The driver of the 63 saw me but just overtook it due to the 747 bus reg no SN67 WZX being in front. Will not get the 63 bus again. Not reliable coaches plus they only come every 1 and a half hours so so.
I had the misfortune of using McGills bus company for my daily commute and I must say that I am extremely disappointed with their services. In fact, I would give them a one-star rating without any hesitation. One of the biggest problems with this company is that they have a tendency to randomly cancel their buses without any prior notice. There have been multiple occasions where I have been left stranded at the bus stop, waiting for a bus that never arrived. This has caused me a lot of inconvenience and stress, especially when I have important appointments or meetings to attend. To make matters worse, McGills bus company has also changed their bus routes without any proper communication. As a result, I have found myself lost and confused, not knowing where to go or which bus to take. This has caused me to be late for work, which is unacceptable. The final straw came when I requested a refund for the monthly pass that I had paid for but was unable to use due to the cancelled buses and changed routes. However, the company refused to refund the amount paid for the monthly pass. This is simply unacceptable and shows a complete lack of concern for their customers. In summary, I would strongly advise against using McGills bus company. They are unreliable, uncommunicative, and unresponsive to customer concerns. Save yourself the trouble and find a better transportation provider.
Worst Bus company in West Lothian, most of the buses are in a state of disrepair, resulting in a lot of buses never turning up with no kind of warning on the app. I’ve had four no-shows this week alone.
I’m in a wheelchair and sat in the cold for over an hour and a half yesterday, waiting on a bus that never turned up and neither did the next one or the next one or the next one, and when it did, the bus was obviously full because everybody had been waiting that long for that is the service 26, going from Livingston centre to Bathgate It’s getting quite regular know that there’s three or four buses don’t turn up and then there is one that turns up which fills up and then keep taking the passengers on because they’ve all waited that long for a bus. You really need to look at this and put more passes. On this rate we should get them to turn up
Buses are not reliable and this company does not care. People, are missing hospital appointments and are late for work. Not good enough!!! Contract should never been awarded if they did not have the staff to cover the required routes.
First Scotland buses are so unreliable I won't be buying a day ticket with them again. Missed a couple of appointments due to missing service. Fine when working so 2 stars.
I have repeatedly complained about the 26 livingston bus running 10-20 minutes late 21.44. last night, 17/04/19. I had Mr Happy on the bus, this driver never looks at you or talks to you, but Last night I have to say, the bus was on time and this driver even said good night. that was the first time he spoke to me. but the main thing is he was running to time and it was great to catch my connection without having to either run or or wait for an hour on the next bus. Keep it up first Bus.
Without fault this company seems to fail at every turn. Not once have I had any bus reach or arrive at destinations. I have now lost my job and so has my partner due to this company and their busses. Absolute shambles! Disgrace to public transport. It's disgusting that so many people rely on these services to be disappointed or jobless. Something needs to be done as they are failing us as a 'reliable public transport"
We lost our cellphone in Bus Numbers 23 near Edinburgh. Two hours later we got it in the deposit. We were so happy. Very helpful and friendly staff
17.50 600 service from Winchburgh to Broxburn ...At bus stop ,arm out to stop bus .. Driver looking right at me and drove right past, Shocking service and ignorant Drivers... absolutely disgusting!!!!! Not the 1st time this has happened.
