Story

I sell predominantly fresh flowers, sourced locally as much as possible. I have some fabulous suppliers already who I buy seasonal flowers like, lilies, alstroemeria, freesia, chrysanthemum, antirrhinum, cornflowers and loads more - ALL BRITISH GROWN and some within a 25 mile radius - how amazing is that! Yorkshire, Lincolnshire,Derbyshire and Cornish flowers. Obviously I will still have to buy imported flowers, but my aim is to support British Growers as much as possible.

Scented Soy Candles have arrived and are, supplied by a wonderful gentleman called Peter Cooke, from the company Northumbrian Candleworks. What I love about his range is they use only pure natural soy was - with no herbicides or pesticides used in the cultivation. They are naturally bio-degradable, so they really are an eco friendly product. The soy wax also burns cleaner than the paraffin wax which is derived from crude oil - but there will be more about this product on display in the shop. The scent is amazing, especially the apple which I love.

Cards will be supplied by Berni Parker Designs - The range include Ladies who love life and whispers on wings. These both appeal to me as I LOVE LIFE and the Fairy range fits in wonderfully with my 'Calorie Free Flower Fairy Cakes'. There is a lovely Flower Collection which are perfect for delivering with the bouquets of flowers. Fairytale Wedding and Little Whispers collection for weddings and birth of babies. These are all designed, manufactured and produced in the UK. I am really looking forward to displaying these and they will be the only collection I have in the shop.

Again, I am trying to buy as much in the local regions to sell, but to remain commercially viable I still have to use imported flowers, plants and giftware. If you know of any local growers, or manufacturers whose produce / products you think will be of interest to me, please let me know. The most amazing thing is getting to meet the growers, see the land the flowers are being grown on and even had the opportunity to cut my own flowers to sell! Fantastic!
