A heartfelt appreciation goes out to Alan, Katie, and the entire team at Firegrate for their invaluable assistance in selecting my wood-burning stove and managing its installation. Their service deserves a resounding five stars, particularly for their meticulous attention to detail, especially evident in the natural brick chamber. I now possess a wealth of knowledge regarding its origins in Cheshire over 160 years ago. I am genuinely thankful for their commitment to sustainability, evident in the craftsmanship of my exquisitely hand-built brick chamber.
Bought a fireplace in 2017 & we have been a customer ever since. I get an annual service on both the fireplace & the boiler. Phil is such a down to earth, friendly owner and he goes out of his way for his customers. Whenever I have any questions or problems, he is always willing to help & to resolve any issues. It is also a refreshing change to have an engineer like Kane! Don't hesitate, book in with Firegrate!

A fantastic company to deal with. They knew exactly what I required as it was a replacement for a living flame fire which was 20 years old. Sent a surveyor round very quickly and within the time scale I was given it was delivered. Cannot rate this company highly enough. Very professional and friendly. Could not ask for more. Would highly recommend
I have nothing but praise for the service I’ve received from the staff at the Fire Grate. My gas fire wouldn’t light and even though it was the week before Christmas, they squeezed me in, the Engineer came and worked his magic.
Upon my visit to the firegrate,as soon as me and my partner walked in..we immediately felt welcomed, we started to look around and on doing so didnt feel pressured by staff as other sales advisors in other stores have bombarded us..which we dont like..so this was a pleasant visit. we asked staff questions as and when we wanted. we were shown a few fire surrounds that we had previously been looking at. On leaving we were never felt to feel that we had to buy there and then. After a few days we went back to the firegrate to purchase what we had been hoping for..we found the perfect fire surround. We would definately recommend to our friends and family. Thanks to all at the firegrate.

I ordered a woodburner from here. This would also involve the firegrate removing the existing gas fire to fit this. I was told it would take 2 days Mon and Tues On the Monday, the fitters discovered that I could not have the brick surround and arch due to the size of the fireplace. The wooden beam I wanted above the fire would also have to be 1 foot higher up the wall. These should have both been picked up on the survey. When I complained, the store said it was my fault as I only decided what I wanted after the survey. This is despite me having paperwork clearly showing that this isnt the case. On the Tuesday, on of the slate slabs had a crack in it. Therefore another day was added. Into Wednesday, the slab was replaced. I was told the fitters would be back soon to finish the job. I rang the store at 4pm. I was told they were booked in for 5pm. They arrived at 7:15pm. At 9:30pm, they stopped. The fire still needed plastering. One of the fitters had tried plastering, but made a mess. Thursday at 3pm I received a call saying the plasterer would be there after 4pm. I had to rearrange this for Friday. On Friday, the plaster has to spend an hour chipping the plaster away that the fitter had done as it was on the brick work. I am now having to have the entire wall redecorated due to the state of the wall. I also had a hole left in another wall where the gas pipe had been. Upon complaining, I was promised the owner would ring me. He has yet to do so. Sorry for the length of this. Its up to you if you buy from here, Im simply saying what happened to me
Had dealt with the Firegrate for over 20 years but never realised they did boilers installed last month after Andy's advise i can recommenced them 100% i promised them this review but i mean every word.Tanks again.
I cannot say enough about the staff here. They have been so kind and helpful. If you need a fire don't go anywhere else.
