Went for my flu jab along with my husband this morning and must say that the experience was brilliant from start to finish, very well organised. Walked in and greeted by a volunteer who advised us where to go, straight in for a painless jab and out, all within a matter af minutes. Big shout out to volunteers and staff, exceptional service, Filey Surgery.
Went today for a dollar with a nurse, had to arrive half an hour before appointment and told to lay on a bed for 30 mins, by very nice receptionist. 40 mins later nurse arrived and because I had moved my legs due to cramp she couldn't do the test because you have to lay flat and mot move arms or legs for 15mins, no-one told me this when I arrived. Both nurse and receptionist very pleasant but a bit of for thought needed so time is not wasted on both sides
Having had some mental health problems for some years, made worse now , by a physical problem , the mental health nurse there told me it would be helpful for me to see a doctor about the physical thing as thart might help my mental health , you have to fill in an online form to request anything, which I did , waited 7 hours, no response , so phoned them , they hadn't got it and I'd have to go back and do it all again , as reception cant do anything to help , which I did , the reponce by text - no appointment s available, and they'd let me know , - brilliant !
Absolutely brilliant service. We Was staying at my parents who live in filey when my 8month old baby became unwell. From ringing them to seeing a nurse was fantastic. They Couldn't of got her seen quick enough :
Not been of the nature to moan And having a belief I a system that is failing people contiously, Filey surgery is the worse. Being a cancer patient with healing issues you would think I could see a doctor, but the receptionist treat people like 2nd rate citizens and make decisions they are not qualified to do. I have developed a chest infection and have an open wound I needed some antibiotics but was told to contact 111,or ring an ambulance because they have no safe appointnets. I understand the pressure but why place the hospital under further pressure.
