Absolutely brilliant service. We Was staying at my parents who live in filey when my 8month old baby became unwell. From ringing them to seeing a nurse was fantastic. They Couldn't of got her seen quick enough :
Very poor. Just registed and picked up first prescription. My application had been halfed by strength without consultation or advisory. On top of this my wife tried to pick up her pills of which she takes when needed. She hasn't had a repeat prescription since 2018, which shows how long they last her. She has super bad migrains that can incapacitate her for days but these pills are the only drug that keeps it bearable. It's pretty obvious that pound notes come before care of patients . The practice manager should be ashamed. We have been registered with 5 surgery's in the last 5 yrs and Filey is the worst one of the bunch. Infact the others were faultless.nShame on you Filey Surgery.
In the NHS’s quest to waste time and money on utter rubbish instead of actually improving quality of healthcare and appointment availability, they’ve introduced a new online-only appointment booking system. This makes appointments almost completely inaccessible to any elderly person trying to book an appointment, and has also removed any possibility of booking a same-day appointment. Even the doctors don’t realise how defunct this system is. I was told by my GP that my appointment date was far too late over a month after I brought up the issue, and that next time I should ring up and get a same-day appointment, but you literally physically cannot get one at Filey Surgery when receptionists respond to every phone call with “appointments can only be booked online”. Get a grip and change your appointment booking policy, or you’ll end up with your patients dying because they cannot access care.
If you can actually get to see a GP at this Practice then the quality of care is generally speaking very good. It is just a great shame that there are so many members of the Practice Staff who are far from helpful! This is most definitely NOT a Practice that I would recommend for this reason. This is by far the worst surgery at which I have ever been registered. There appears to be a distinct lack of focus on the patients!! Avoid!
I’m very grateful for local medical care. In person appointments when needed and convenient telephone appointments when appropriate. Reception staff are efficient and service-oriented. How they keep smiling is beyond me. Nurses and phlebotomists are also professional, advising clearly what to expect and how to obtain results.nClean facility, to include toilets, and lots of clear signage.nA genuine “thank you” to all team members.
