Went in to look at a specific guitar and Chris was very informative and knowledgeable. The shop also had a very good atmosphere. I didn’t mean to spend as much money but hey ho! You can never have enough guitars!
Great friendly service and well stocked. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful. He spent time letting me try out different guitars before I made my purchase and I'm over the moon with my new electric guitar. He also serviced and restrung my old guitar. It really made a difference going to a small local shop and being taken seriously compared to shopping in large music stores where it feels impersonal and the staff seem disinterested.
Needed a travel guitar and Chris was very pleasant to deal with, he totally went above and beyond what was required. 100% Recommended and a big things up from me.
As soon as me and my good friend entered the shop there was a very odd vibe. We’re both guitarist/musicians and were having a look around on our gig. When my friend asked about one particular guitar he he received a blunt THAT’S NOT FOR SALE! Was very rude! We are very friendly guitar/music loving music people. We left pretty much immediately after this. Potential sale lost there .. maybe even 2. Got the feeling he didn’t want to sell any guitars to us. Ohh well I’m sure his business is thriving.
The owner went out of his way to find me a pick guard, and because his card machine wouldn't work over the phone he sent it to me free of charge, what a guy
We have just bought a guitar and accessories for our daughter from here. The customer service and advise were second to none and Chris and his wife were extremely helpful. They were amazing with our daughter and had all the time in the world to listen to and answer our queries as well as encouraging our daughter with her guitar playing.
Great little shop. Chris is very helpful and willing to go the extra mile. If you want a nice personal service this is this place to go. Don't expect hundreds of guitars etc, just suitably priced carefully selected pieces tailored for the market it the area. Highly recommended.
Can't understand how anyone can give this store and staff less than five stars. As it says on Facebook, don't waste your time, waiting for Black Friday, and then searching everywhere for the best deal, just go to Filey Music any time, and that's what you'll get, all year-round. With the added bonus of really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable folks to deal with. It might be a small store, but, if they haven't got it, they can get most things to order, and the deals are worth waiting a few days for. I've bought loads of items here, and always return, even though I live in Leeds and do it by phone, and Chris is such a great guy to deal with. JUST TRY IT!
Great guitar shop. Took my guitar in today for restringing. Very friendly thorough very competitive quality service. Very highly recommended.
