Joining this gym for boxing was one of the best decisions I've made! Starting from zero knowledge, I've grown to absolutely love it over the past two years. The coaches are exceptional, and the classes are both challenging and rewarding. The welcoming atmosphere makes it easy to feel at home and motivated to push yourself. Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to dive into boxing or take their skills to the next level!
I am giving this place a 1 star based on my experience. It was my first and last time visiting. The coaches seemed to have some sort of superiority complex, and felt offended that someone was tired and squatting down who they decided to call out in front of everyone . When my training partner was assisting me, the coach’s lapdog seemed to have not liked that and claimed ‘you’re not qualified to help him’. I’m unsure if either of these two coaches had a clue what they were doing themselves, because they surely wouldn’t have got very far with a stinking attitude like that! I wouldn’t even join this gym even if it was free, that’s how bad the experience was with these two coaches. Hopefully they’ve quit by now, otherwise the students are doomed if they have any left. Reply to response: It was definitely the same gym that I attended Millow street, M4 4DR, im 100% certain. Maybe the second guy wasnt a 'coach' but he was definitely instructing with the head coach. Either way, they were both terrible!
The Fit Mums session at Fighting Fit is an absolute treat. It's a small class of 6 mums working on strength training while their babies are looked after right alongside. Kate is a fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable coach. She keeps a sharp eye on form, gives very specific and helpful feedback, and often remembers better than I do what weights I've been using week to week. She's great at modifications for individual people or injuries. I feel stronger and more confident in my post-baby fitness after 6 sessions. The babies play on a mat next to the weights area and are looked after so they can't escape or cause chaos! My son 7mo is always very happy while I'm working out.
Hi, I’ve trialled martial arts in the past for awhile with mixed results before coming here. This gym has been amazing, I’ve always come away from each season feeling like I’ve gotten great quality instruction. The gym is spacious and has loads of mat room as well as a good weights/calisthenics section. Finally, it’s a really friendly gym from the staff to the other members, it’s a great place to train.
Joined after lockdown on a week's free trial and signed up to a full membership immediately. From the moment I walked in to walking out, I felt like the staff and coaches looked out for me and wanted me to enjoy it. It's not easy walking into any new gym, especially a fighting one, but these have got the experience nailed. Classes are great, everyone's friendly and there's no egos. You're gonna learn new skills, get fit and confident. Can't wait to shift my work rota to get into even more classes and there's a whole load on offer for whatever you want. Don't wait! Sign up!
I joined Fighting Fit two years ago having never done martial arts. They were so welcoming and supportive that I can't imagine training anywhere else. All of the coaches are incredibly skilled and so encouraging. I would recommend it to anyone. It's not just a gym, it's a community where everyone works to improve themselves and each other.
Absolutely amazing gym, the members are fantastic and it's in a great city centre location with plenty of transport links and parking. More importantly the level of coaching is particularly high across all the Martial Arts and especially the Brazilian Jiujitsu. Great place to learn and develop your skills I can't recommend this gym enough.
Been training here for around 3 years and I love it. Had a bit of a bad experience at a previous gym and thankfully the coaches at fighting fit reignited that fire. Love this gym and the people in it! Made so many awesome friends here and on top of all that...the training is top notch! World champs in numerous fields and some awesome training partners to go with it. Fighting Fit is absolutely my second home.
I don't know if this will describe my full experience, basically it's the best gym ever I went in my life to do BJJ, the people are so friendly all of them, very very lovely atmosphere, going for the BJJ class is like a mental therapy, been to other BJJ gyms but this one is my favourite. Very very very amazing gym.
Either you are beginner or experienced player this gym will suits your goals. I am amazed recently how quick coaches adapted to new pandemic rules and have designed programs which help all students to progress and still remain safe. Strongly recommended!
