This classic Irish pub was very close to the hotel so we gave it a go. The decor and design is super authentic and retro Irish. The cheese vegetable pie was quite delicious but the fish and chips were a bit underwhelming. Entertaining music and games, a lot of local people who have plenty of Interesting stories.
Fantastic bar service. Michael was grand in all ways. Quick with a joke, and happy to banter. The music is every night, and it is definitely a must hit tourism spot!
Delicious food and great location! It's in the same place at Robinson's, just go through Robinson's to get there.
A great Belfast icon rammed with locals and folk visiting. Live music is great with wonderful professional talent. Variations of Irish/Ulster music with a smidgen of of other popular stuff. Always stop over here every time you visit Belfast!Food: 4/5
Lovely staff, lovely bar... Unfairly giving them four stars instead of five because the date I went to meet was clearly ten years older than he claimed to be and six inches shorter Not the bars fault but I'm still salty about it. I didn't eat here but giving it five stars on food because it looks like it would have good pub grub.Food: 5/5
Great irish bar with possibly the best Guinness in the whole of Belfast Shout out to Sophia who is the best Who looked after the crew and myself for 5 sessions back to back !
Our hotel recommended this establishment for traditional Irish music, so we thought we would visit New Year's eve. While the music truly was delightful, the venue itself had very limited seating and was crowded beyond my comfort level. While we expected it to be crowded on NYE, the lack of seating made it unbearable. I did not want to stand for 3+ hours just to listen to Irish music. Part of the ambience of a pub is being able to settle back with friends and a good drink while you listen to music. At least that's how it is where we visit in the states. The drinks were a little pricey as well. The musicians where top notch though, and it was definitely worth checking out. Just couldn't stand to stay as long as we would have liked.
We were there before the band came on so maybe didn't get the full effect. Good bar and staff.
Had a great few hours but the toilets let them down. I had to hold my breath when using the toilet. Surely a bit of toilet duck wouldn't cost too much. Wouldn't put me off going again but seriously get it sorted...Service: 5/5
Good local bar with a great feel. Quite a simple drinks selection. The live music in here is great, good atmosphere.Service: 4/5
