Me and my partner visited here for the first time in years since we had our first date there. It was as pleasant as i still remember, the food was delicous and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Jane was very welcoming when entering the door and was friendly throughout our time.
Lovely old fashioned pub. Very busy but fairly quick service. The food was fine but didn't quite live up to our expectations when reading the menu

Nice cosy but classy decor, plenty of different beers to choose from, a great menu, and the food was excellent, delicious steak cooked perfectly, and I had chicken pie which was great. Great service from the staff, especially a tall chap who served us but I didn’t get his name
lovely xmas lunch today I choose the rib eye steak the ladies had the turkey, the desert was amazing as was the steak, excellent meal pleasant staff very helpful x
Haven't been here for years and went back recently for a family member's birthday. Food was AMAZING - we all loved it. Excellent service too. Can't wait to return again soon.
The lady serving was lovely. Food was lovely. We can't use the restaurant as our local as its a bit pricey for all the time. Nice relaxing atmosphere just a tad cool. Would love to sit at the left of the building but always put to the right lol
I've been twice now and both times the food and presentation were excellent and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were polite and friendly. I would recommend the sea bass or the salmon if they are on the menu.
Food wasn't very good Starter was warm not hot ,Chicken was tough I left half of it and when after dinner coffee time came we were advised that we couldn't have coffee as the machine was being cleaned So we had a cup of tea with tea bag left in-not even a pot of tea I also had booked for the Christmas menu but couldn't have this as I didn't get the message that it needed to be preordered. I was called the day before but couldn't pickup in time No message left Email went into spam Don't think we'll be back So disappointing
Good food, good environment, friendly. Don't come too late, kitchen closes early.
