A great local pool, and one of the few places left that you can just turn up at to swim, rather than pay some huge gym membership. I’m not much of a swimmer but it’s a perfect place for my children to learn to swim every Sunday morning there are classes but you can just swim freely. There’s a small pool for younger children.
Great pools for lane swimming especially sunset swims on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunrise Swim on Sunday morning. The outdoor pool is 33m and indoor 25m.nnClean pools, changing rooms and new lockers. Showers recently refurbished via crowd funding for the project. Friendly reception team who always make swimmers feel welcome. Hard working cleaners who keep the centre to a high standard of cleanliness. The lifeguards are attentive and professional.nnMonthly swim pass is better value than pay as you go if swimming more than twice a week. Tides cafe is open at peak times selling great coffee and snacks.nnCar park is council run and fees apply in evenings. Beware of poor lighting. Swale Council is looking into this - March 2024
Given that the pool is owned and a run by a charity I find it surprising that it is actually more expensive to swim here than council run pools.nStaff can be somewhat abrupt and the unisex changing rooms are not particularly clean.nThe area all around the poolside itself is in dire need of refurbishment or at the very least a damn good spring clean. See photos of the base of the railings that are alongside the child’s pool area/cafe pretty grim!nThe cafe inside is a complete no-go for me as not only are the staff bluntly rude but the prices are crippling by any standards, especially for such poor quality snacks. 1 slither of stale cake, 1 coffee and a child’s fruit shoot £9.30!
Visited Faversham Pools indoors for the first time today.nPlenty of parking and good location.nPool was a little chilly on arrival compared to some other venues.nChanging rooms were generally clean, and big blue clothes storage buckets are useful.nThe lockers are all half size. They require a 1 pound coin deposit.nLittle cafe at pool side looked great, but unfortunately missed the closing time of 2.30.nGenerally a good venue, good day out.nRecommended!
Friendly community pool that invests in its facilities.nnImproved indoor showers and lockers now. Changing area indoors is tired but always clean, but what matters is the pool and that’s beautiful.nnI mostly use the outdoor pool for lane swimming. Great size, heated in winter to about 20 degrees, open through the year. So happy I have this in my area.
