My wife has been given appointment twice with a relatively new nurse who googles or phones others to find what needs to be prescribed. The medicine didn't work for two weeks. Finally she got a third appointment with a doctor today who said the medicine she was given was incorrect. Thanks to the staff who arranged a quick appointment today and thanks to the doctor who got to the bottom of what was required. Please do not allow appointments with inexperienced nurses when patients need to be seen by a GP. My wife could have been better two weeks ago had she got an appointment with a doctor at first place. She had difficult two weeks and this could have been avoided.
I never leave reviews, but I just have to. Over the years, I’ve always been dismissed by the doctors and nurses here. Never a proper check up, just get looked at and told “you’ll be fine, have some paracetamol.” I’m an adult now with the same issues but I’ve given up on making anymore appointments… it took them 5 months to diagnose me with a bacterial infection for example, and that’s only because I went to a different doctor Moorside on the weekend, who was angry that they didn’t give me any checks. To this day, I’m still affected and cannot eat like I used to, which has been affecting me every day due to dizziness. It’s really annoying since it’s also affecting me during these A-Levels…
Been a patient here for many years , but since Covid it’s changed a lot . Long waits for appointments 3 week was told to next appointment The new doctors here who have no patient understanding and will just chuck tablets at you so you hurry up, I don’t want tablets to cover my issue up because I still have to come back when they finish I want to know what’s causing my issues then I wouldn’t need to keep coming back! Doctors ain’t the same no more. There’s no care or understanding. Never had a issue when doctor bargh was here , he was a fantastic caring doctor!
It's Monday and for the first 45 mins you just get two beeps and get cut off. Then if you get through, you're like caller no.17. Covid is no longer a threat, why don't they bring back walk in surgery like before? If you do get an appointment, it'll be with a nurse, not an actual GP! What is happening with this country and the NHS?
Lovely reception staff, excellent doctors that listen and help as much as they can. Clean open areas, very good pharmacy next door, and feels great to go there.
When I joined their rating was 5 star . Doctors were really helpful and kind . Although reception staff wasn’t great. But now reception staff become terrible but not all rof them . New Asian doctor even refused to check my BP, saying waste of time , although I am taking Bp medication . Management should look into reception staff behavior as well doctors activities. also ordering repeat or to get emergency appointments procedures should be easier. Sorry couldn’t give 5 star .
Been going here for about 35 years, I used to say it was the best doctors surgery around, never ever had an issue. Now however it’s just awful, struggle to get appointments because they’ve changed their system to that awful call on the day method, no longer an open surgery in the morning, saw a male nurse who I found to be rude and dismissive, my appointment was cancelled with no warning or reason. Just a catalogue of failures really, good point is dr wood and new dr allerman not sure of correct name have both been fabulous with me and I thank them for that.
Been with this Doctor’s for many, many years now the service has gotten worse and worse you need to know when an appointment is needed 6 weeks in advance to get to seen. Some of the reception staff are very hard to deal with. If you work you have to take time off as you can’t get early or late appointments. They seem to think that everyone can attend between 10am and 3pm. Much better service and care in the old building.
If 0 stars was an option i would give it! My 3 year old son has had a high temperature over 41+ for the past 6 days! We don't call up because doctors are useless here! Its come to a point now he’s started to get spots around his hands and feet. Stayed awake all night to ring at 8:00am on the dot and called up 18 times to get through to the reception only to speak to a rude lady to only say send photos to the doctor and wanted to put the phone down after a minute conversation! I hate calling up to this surgery every time its the same but what other option do we have? Wether your in a serious condition or you have a slight fever you will get treated the same way which is the absolute minimum prescribing paracetamol and antibiotics Doctors are the worse! Receptionist should have manners! Nurses are ok. Im not one to be posting about reviews on the Internet but i guess now you know its that bad that I'm warning others about it!
As a fellow healthcare worker, I’m disgusted by how I’ve just been spoken to and told to get off the phone in so many words. This is not right by the receptionist. Not right at all. Treat people better. Don’t monontously and sarcastically inform me of things or get me off the phone after asking someone something or providing them their details. Say “is that everything?” Thanks
