We often stay here when visiting family on a short break. Rooms suit our needs and are reasonably priced. The rooms are quiet as they back on to a golf course. Food is available from the inn attached to the hotel. Food is good, staff are very friendly. We enjoyed our stay
Good size room, but all very tired and past it's sell by date. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Hungry horse also on the same site. Breakfast is available there.
I was put into Inn lodge as emergency accommodation, was there for almost 4 months, The room was fine and bathroom maybe a little updating on the deco is required. But the Housekeepers done an amazing job, always friendly and respectful and nothing was to much trouble. Receptionist staff very helpful and Friendly as was the bar staff.. Room service was good, food was a hit and miss at times.. was sad I didn’t have time to say goodbye to the staff… I would totally recommend staying here… Just want to say Thank you for making a difficult stay for me a Joyable one… Thank you Janet room 226 x
Ive been coming to this hotel several times over the last few years and have had a pleasant stay. However these last couple of visits have not been very good. The staff are very nice both in reception and restaurant. However in my opinion the cleaning company who they use need to be changed. The cleanliness of the rooms has really deteriorated. The carpets in the bedrooms should be clean and should be vaccuumed up to the skirting. We found things in our room which we shouldnt have especially as my grandson had an allergic reaction to something. When i spoke to the manageress on reception yesterday before leaving she was clearly uninterested. I come to Portsmouth a few times a year but im not sure that I want to stay here again unless things improve.
I have stayed here before. The days of glory for this hotel way in the past. Needs some money spent on it .........asap. Staff great very friendly and helpful. Sam on evening shift good chap. Breakfast nothing special with a rude person taking the orders.
