I find it rather surprising that this has some bad reviews, It's a really nice restaurant that doesn't get massively busy and serves excellent steaks. It isn't the cheapest place but also not the most expensive for the cuts of meat on offer. Lovely looking restaurant, freindly staff and you know the food on offer is all grass fed and well looked after on the farm that's literally next to the restaurant.

Met Farmer C whose son owns the restaurant. Made the effort to come see us and ALL staff made a fuss of my daughter. Food delicious. Went to see farm but raining heavily so will return in the summer.

A few years ago this farm shop was top class, well managed, friendly staff and excellent produce. The company and shop seem to have extended and drastically gone down hill. The coffee shop now takes over the majority of the space and prices have soared. Our Christmas was a disaster thanks to them all down to the Turkey which we ordered a number of weeks prior. When collecting the Turkey we were informed that none were left of the size that we had ordered and were given one of a lesser size. One of the managers "Heather" intervened and insisted we take an Adlington Turkey (These are older Turkeys and the meat is tougher and more "mature"). Apparently this was meant to be a better Turkey, but was distinctively of a lesser quality than a fresh young Turkey. Staff were rude and of a "Take it or Leave it" attitude. Other people were also complaining in the car park about not receiving what they had ordered. In summary - nice produce at a price, providing you actually get what you ordered.

We frequent Farmer Copleys on a regular basis. It is not only friendly but accommodating to families, allowing the adults to relax while the children play. Better still when we go to the butchery counter, which we believe is award winning, they don't just 'sell you meat' they give you great advice about how to cook it and what to serve it with. I'm sorry but with the best will in the world you don't get that from the local supermarket. A great place, a great atmosphere and a very respectable local business.
