Ordered £30 worth of pies beginning of July, a month later still didn't have anything until a neighbour came and knocked on my door with a box of mouldy pies that had been left behind his bin for almost 2 weeks! Delivered to an incorrect address due to their error in creating the shipping label. Absolutely impossible to get hold of anybody within this business. Really, really disappointed! You would have thought for a family & business in the public eye they would have top notch customer service!
I've been watching the Radford family on telly showing the hard work and dedication they've put into their company and how they've built it up going online. Went in almost first thing wanting to try out their Steak and Stilton pie. I usually find with steak pies they can be fatty and gristly so they usually end up in the bin. Wow there are thick pieces of beautiful melt in the mouth steak chunks. Enjoyed every bite, left me wanting to go back and get more. It is filled properly so you get your money's worth. Next time I visit the area I'm getting some more. Keep up the fantastic work.
Ordered our second batch of pies because the first batch were so good. However these were delivered over a weekend to our closed business. No details or confirmation on delivery so we were unable to make sure we were on site to take delivery. I was mortified to find them on a Monday morning just thrown over our 12ft fence leaving them out in the open and obviously been ripped open by animals for them to have the contents. We have emailed on several occasions but as of yet no response from them or even an acknowledgement of our emails. yet they were quick enough to take our money. Obviously customer services is not important to these people.
i honestly don't know how anybody could call these pies disgusting. they are absolutely gorgeous. when i don't feel like cooking these are just the thing as myself and my family only like quality and these pies are better than home made, they really are. the steak are packed with really good tender beef, personally i would give 10 stars if i could.
Fantastic pies superb flavours, packed with meat. Veggie ones are delicious as well. Great online service delivered well packed and ready for the freezer. They freeze and keep well and cook up beautifully. A little bit of a wait for delivery because they are so popular so allow time when ordering.
Was away over weekend in the Lake district, on way home on the tue called in to try the famous pies as I also work in a bakery and love supporting local. Would have loved to have tried the pies but shop was shut! Opening hours in window said open on tue? Can recommend the butchers next door though.
Brilliant! Waited 2 weeks for my delivery as stated clearly on their website. Order came well packed in cold boxes. I've just tried the chicken and mushroom pie, it was delicious, full of big chunks of meat and lots of flavoursome sauce. Will order again! When my current batch run out!
Asked my daughter to bring me 3 pies on her visit to me in Nottingham…. I live here now but used to live round the corner from there shop in Heysham . A meat and potato , peppered steak and chicken and ham …. They were still a bit warm when she got here and tucked into them straight away….absolutely delicious and packed with filling….will buy more next time I’m up there . You just can’t get a decent pie in Nottingham .
Bought the 10 pack, great selection, my family had these pies for christmas lunch...thick pieces of succulent meat...beautiful texture to the pastry. My parents thoroughly enjoyed the steak and mushroom pie. My husband had the chicken and gamon pie....again beautiful succulent pieces of meat. Would highly recommend to anybody thinking of giving these pies a go. Great price for a larger than regular pie, delivered in time for christmas, very well packed in a large polystyrene box. First time buying several pies from them. Really impressed taste lovely. 1 pie was missing though. Tried emailing and messaging on Facebook. No reply! Would put me off buying from them again.
