Fantastic Flavours ice cream will make you drive to Youghal on a rainy day, that's how delicious it is. Unreal choice of flavours, all unique and to die for, always different. To top it all off, Mike, the owner, is absolutely awesome and makes the whole experience even more pleasurable. Highly recommended!
We visited here yesterday two adults and two kids We had four delicious ice creams and agreed it was the best we ever tasted. It's home made and very reasonably priced. The owner is very welcoming and fantastic with kids. He did a little quiz for all the children in the shop whilst we sat and enjoyed our ice creams, which was great fun. I would definitely recommend Fantastic flavours.
Fantastic experience as well as fantastic flavours. 7 year old son loved the surprise quiz the owner pitched to his interests and level and declared him "a genius"! The owner also shared stories of St. Mary's Church nearby that really lit up my son's imagination and we had an unexpected, but great afternoon exploring the church and grounds.
Delighted with Fantastic Flavours Ice Cream Words fail to describe the food and people at Fantasic Flavours Ice Cream Parlour. The owners are very nice and friendly with the wife speaking fluent German to our guests and making them feel welcome. The décor is delightfully creative and shabby-chic with everything from the jerseys of the local teams they sponsor to a wooden North American Lacrosse stick and antique baseball glove hanging in the window and authentic old posters of Youghal hung on the walls. As for the food? We enjoyed our cheesecakes and cappuccinos while our guests devoured the artisanal ice cream the owners make themselves in the shop. We were so delighted we got a tour of the kitchen and the husband showed us how he made a special batch of Guiness ice cream with chocolate and the aroma was incredible. In all, the décor, friendliness of the owners, cleanliness of the shop, variety of flavours and very good pricing left us all delighted. The owners really understand good service and good food. Stopped in café while on bus tour. Great ice cream. Many choices. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
During Ironman 2019, we had the pleasure of stumbling upon this iconic ice cream parlor. The ice cream was amazing; and the hospitality was even better. We can’t thank Michael and his wife Oksana enough for making us feeling at home in Youghal. Miceal’s account of the local history endeared Youghal to our family. This is a must when you are in the are in the area!
We stopped here on our way from Waterford to Cork. Great flavors and texture. Just plain good ice cream. Honeycomb was our favorite. The Trump flavor toasted marshmallow was also really good and pretty funny. Also Miceál and his wife were very nice people. Miceál has lived a very interesting life Army Ranger, politician, international conflict resolution, ice cream. I'm sure he was good at the other things, but he sure knows how to make ice cream.
Very nice and friendly service. Ice creams are very good. We had Chocolate, Blueberry and Peanut Butter. All exquisite. 5 Star place at great value.
This quaint ice cream polar is amazing and a must experience when in Ireland. It offers unique flavors and quality homemade ice cream. Just prior to traveling to Youghal and discovering, Fantastic Flavours, I was in Italy and this ranks right up there with Italian gelato. The owners, Micoal and Okeana are wonderful people who gave us their undivided attention answering questions about their ice cream, local sites, and how they turned a hobby into a business. If you want to experience the “real” Ireland, stop in Youghal for ice cream and the sites. Thank you for the truly hometown hospitality. The folks from Goodhue, MN.
love stopping off for a chat and an ice-cream. Great flavour's, clean and child friendly. My little two love it. Stop in if your in Youghal and have a game of Youghaloply while you are there!
