Great experience at Falklands Vets yesterday. Buster Boys first visit since he was registered after moving from another vet in Newbury that has gone down hill. The young vet that treated him was so very kind and patient with him, he is petrified of the vets, and she did such a good job. He is home now and recovering The reception team were great too. Thank you.
I have been meaning to leave a review for a while now, but it is hard as I am still hurt after the way we were treated here. My Cockatiel had passed away on the way to the vet. My appointment was at 10.30. we did not get since until over an hour later. I was in tears in the waiting room sat there with my beloved bird that had passed away. The receptionists all laughing together & not one of them asked if I was ok. Finally we were seen & the vet didn't apologise for making me wait so long. I asked to collect my birds ashes & even asked reception to call me when they were ready. Weeks had passed & they didn't call. I made a call to see where they were & they basically said they disposed of him. Having to explain this to my child is heart breaking. I wrote a letter of complaint & all I got back from the manager was thanks for this! No written letter of apology, nothing! They were chasing me for £50 for the disposal of my beloved pet which was not agreed in the first place. I would never ever use this vets again. I have never gotten over how we were treated here. It's heart breaking when you lose a pet & all you want is for some kind caring people to look after your pet with care. This was not the case here.

I have used Falkland vets for all my cats over the past 20+ years. A year ago my cat became ill and the vets were amazing, so caring and understood the financial pressures that came with it. Sadly we ended up having to put her to sleep. They totally understood the the heart break and made sure everything was done with dignity . We have just got another cat and the first thing we've done is register with them. I wouldn't go anywhere else now.
I went here to register my dog the lady explained their books were full and she was very pleasant and helpful. I'm very sad to see jess p's review about her puppy and the vet concerned, so I'm very glad I took my dog to pets at home on Retail Park. I hope that the vet Peter at Falkland surgery is made to realise that reviews like jess p's can do a lot of damage to a businesses reputation!! Note to the other vets at this practice any animal whatever it is....IS PART OF SOMEONE'S FAMILY AND NOT MONEY ON LEGS TO AN UNCARING VET Have to say, though, RSPCA put their caring adverts on tele, but the difference between them couldn't be more different, no everything is as it seems!
I would recommend Falkland vet's to everyone they are truly amzing not like any other vet's I do use,, duty of care to the animals always come first before then mention of any money or payment they took the very best care of my little boy after he got hit by a car making sure I got him home safely and quickly. Honestly appreciate everything you did for my Iddy-biddy he is doing amzing and is back on his feet so thank you

The staff at Falklands are the most wonderful bunch of people you could hope to have care for your pets. Everyone on reception is kind, helpful and empathetic, and the vets themselves are fantastic - it's rare to have a combination of such technical skills and genuine care and compassion. Francesco has taken care of my wife's gerbils on numerous occasions, and his expertise with exotic pets is so reassuring. On top of this, he genuinely cares and is interested in each of them, and shows amazing compassion and investment every time we see him. We've had a very similar experience with every one of the other wonderful vets and nurses here too. Couldn't recommend them enough! Keep up the great work, team.
Staff were very friendly. Couldn't fault the vet who explained everything well and took good care of our cat. Only downside was the final price being 25% worked out as another £120 more than that quoted
Fantastic vets - we wouldn't go anywhere else. Receptionists are so friendly and helpful. All the vets we have dealt with have been fantastic. It is very clear that each and every member of staff has a true love of animals. Our kitten Bowie has unfortunately been a frequent visitor and they have been so good with him and we have always been able to get an appointment quickly. As others have said on here they are also very compassionate when an animal has died. Our beautiful cat passed away suddenly and we were distraught - the vets organised his cremation with such care and sympathy and made a difficult time so much easier for us. Fab vets - highly recommend!
