Small but good bit of history

A very important collection of buildings and exhibits showing the industrial and  social history of the gas industry from its beginnings to the present day.probably a unique museum of world importance.

What it lacks in size is more than made up by content. Not just the gas works but local history to.

Microcosm of industrial and social history. As it is complete gasworks on a small scale you can take in the whole process. It also illustrates the decline of skilled labouring job in our economy and there speed of decline. Children will love it.
