Lovely location and theatre. I went to see Aladdin with my son and Mum. It was a real treat for my son, who'd never seen a panto before. Clean, spacious and perfect for what was playing. Unfortunately, a head a man with the biggest head and stuck out ears I've ever seen, sat in front of me....which reduced my enjoyment for the first half. Luckily, he appeared to have left as I had an uninhibited view throughout the second half and it was fantastic! My son was thrilled, he had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would go again and recommend the venue to others. The prices were high but not exponentially. Not bad for the theatre. All in all a wonderful night.
Like a step back in time for the right reasons. Fairfield Halls has been renovated to it's former state but the owners have manage to encapsulate the history and 1960s architecture of the theatre. There is a large bar and food kiosk area. Staff are very friendly and approachable. I visited the Ashcroft theatre which was intimate but spacious at the same time! I will definitely visit again!
Really nice building. Light and fresh. Nice staff has 2 bars one downstairs and one upstairs been here many times a prominent focal point of Croydon. One of many bu actually not knocked down since it being built. Undergone refurbishment. Worth visit for any show and lots of other things go on here too. Extra curricclasses, churches hire space and cam hire venue . Lifts and disabled friendly .
Lovely space! Went for Brighter sounds concert.nCouldn't give a 5 star because there is no connection from parking space to the halls. You have to walk back out after parking and turn right to get to the hall entrance.nAlso, the mini shop closed early. Couldn't buy drinks for the little ones after their concert that finished at 9pm.
Great show by Amit Tandon.nVenue was simple to get reach. Too few toilets and long queue for drinks.
