Purpose of visit - COVID-19 Booster jab.nI'd recommend coming earlier than your appointment as the car parks werenfull, having said that, I didn't have to wait long until a space became free. Staff at the vaccine centre were efficient and friendly. I'd come again for any other vaccines.
A spacious setting in which a calm, clean, organised vaccination system is run.nI arrived 5 mins prior to my allocated slot, joining a clearly marked socially distant queue of around 30 people. I was quickly called on time to begin the ID process. Leaving early arrivers? standing in the queue.nnI completed a small form on a clip board, all cleaned prior. I was then moved along to a clearly numbered marked spot. asked to changed face mask and use one provided and sanitise hands, I booked in answering basic questions and presented my ID. I moved through towards the vaccine area, following clearly numbered socially distance squares, moving on safely as the next square became vacant. This prosses continued until you reach the vaccine room.nnThe room is partitioned off into approximately 6 private bays, each with its own nurse ect. the nurse goes through everything with you, calmly, ask if you have any questions and double checks you wish to go ahead. There is no rush, and on agreement the nurse goes to get the injection, which is prepared in a little qiosk in the room by another three nurses. A fresh tray is used for each injection and collected by your nurse who wheels it back on her trolly. Again the nurse explains which injection you are having and asks again if you are happy to have it. Over and done with very quickly. You are given information leaflets and asked to make a follow up app for next vaccine, again using the safe socially distanced square system marked clearly on the floor.nnThere are two windowbays near the exit from where someone will collect your form and log you have received your vaccine making a follow up appointment. If driving you are asked to allow 15 mins before setting off, there are seat available before leaving the building.nnAll in all, it took about half an hour. I applaud all the staff who are working to make this possible and the system they have devised in order to get the vaccine safely to us.The staff are patient, kind caring and remain professional at all times, despite the difficult and stressful task they are doing. My only gripe is people arriving early, it clearly states when making the appointment do not arrive early, this is to protect everyone including those who are trying to help us We as support staff work by these guidelines and are governed by H&S legislation. Please, please be mindful when arriving, stay in your car if you arrive early, support the hospital staff, make their job easier, by reduce the risks for everyone.
Family member attended for CV19 vaccination. Utterly professional staff, put their mind at rest over needle issues and made them at ease about follow up shot.
Unprofessional administration staff showed lack of communication or miscommunicate when contact to people for interviews. That was the case of my relative. She was shortlisted and told to attend the interview but they sent several emails and phone call telling different time for the interview. She went from long distance after a night shift and she was not expected. Not good impression of who and how it is run by the staff there.
Amazing staff. Came to have a vaccine and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Definitely would recommend.
