Under renovations and it will be something when it’s finished but you’ll need to be on Epstein’s Flight List to be able to afford to visit here. This renovation is for the rich and famous only! Eynsham Hall is going to rival Soho House in Chipping Norton.
Currently under renovation -> 2023 and not open to the public. The building and grounds are beautiful, and will be stunning when it reopens.
Everything about this place comes highly recommended. Rooms had very comfortable beds, tea's, coffee, the most gorgeous views. The food was absolutely excellent. We had lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. Service was first class. There were two staff we did not get the name of.. our waitress for dinner and our waiter for afternoon tea. Both were very attentive. Brilliant cocktails from the bar and made by Dan. Dan and the manager Shaun took the time to make our stay very memorable especially to my mother in law who was born at the Hall when it was a maternity hospital during the war. If you want complete relaxation with gorgeous views and fantastic food and drinks, this is the place.
Arrival. We were well received by the reception staff who sorted our rooms straight away. Building. Spread across the estate. A large older main building and more modern outer buildings. Fitness suite. Views. Clearly not hooked for view but it was a lovely picturesque place. Rooms. I was in an outer room Comfortable with all the facilities you would expect. Bed was comfy. Water hot. Food. Lovely breakfast and lunch. Staff. Staff looked after us really well at breakfast and lunch. Made sure we were happy with what was on the menu. Overall. I would recommend to a friend.
We visited for a wedding and stayed 2 nights. We had a double room which was spacious and newly redecorated. Most found the beds comfy however we found it a little soft for our liking. Parking was great and water from the shower hot. Loved the pillows. Wedding set up was gorgeous and amazing rooms for pictures. Looked very grand.
Staff at breakfast were not very friendly, it felt like we were putting them out by asking for more tea, coffee and milk. The food was OK, but not overly warm. We stayed in the lodge and the room was small. You had to turn the taps on a lot to get water out. The reception staff were helpful though. It is a lovely setting but some things need to change!
Eynsham Hall is an extremely impressive manor situated at the end of a long well-kept driveway. The house, side cottages, and gardens are all maintained very well with character and history throughout. The reception invites guests to come through the main doors of manor into a welcoming and warm lounge area with log burner and resident cat. The communal areas are spacious and decorated with in an historically accurate yet modern style. The lower priced rooms are excellent value but are not in the main house. We stayed in the lodge which is a block of maybe a dozen rooms built to the left of the manor. The lodge is more modern and the rooms are small but they have everything you need and are still decorated well. The water pressure is mentioned by many reviews and it was noticeably weak but wasn't really a problem. The pool is part of a gym located within the grounds. There was a class going on when we tried to swim at 9am but they moved on and it wasn't busy after that. The breakfast, which was free with our room, was exceptionally good. It is served in the Red Room in the manor and everything was cooked excellently. The staff at breakfast and throughout the hotel were welcoming and all seemed to enjoy working there, including looking after the cat, who is not allowed in the Red Room. The Gun Room Bar is stylish and has a good menu for drinks but is fairly limited for food. The cheese plate and the chips are not big enough to share between two. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a similar price to even the holiday Inn which is fantastically good value considering you get to stay in such a lovely place with a great bar, breakfast, and a pool. If you have time to spare on your trip then this is a perfect choice as you can relax and enjoy the grounds.
Three is pushing it a bit, 4.5 if you book a room in the hall. Rooms in the outbuildings are very very small only singles with a small double bed, the bed is pushed up against the wall, not good.tired and dated go back 15 years and they might have been OK, but not at today's standards. The main building is super has a good bit of history, breakfast was OK nothing special, we have a hotel in the same chain which is about the same standard, hotel group management take note, cheapness will only get you so far. This place has the making to be fantastic , Fine for a one night stopover nothing more..
We were there 1 year ago, but our plan is to definitely visit again! The place is amazing. You can definitely relax there, visit other small villages. You can enjoy the spa, swimming pool, walks in the nature and if you are a fan of history then you have to visit!
Attractive and spacious venue which worked well for the wedding reception I attended there. Even with the fairly terrible weather we had there was still plenty of space for everyone inside. The staff were friendly and efficacious and the rooms were large, clean and comfortable.
