Cannot fault this riding center! Although an experienced rider I booked in for a beginners trek due to those I was coming with having no prior experience. It's suitable for young children and those much older. I must thank the staff, and Sophie who was our organiser, in the brilliant way they delivered this experience. The views on the trek are great with a slight peek at the ocean too. Horse-wise they are all lovely, and I was blessed to have ridden Balou. For children who complete the trek, they are also allowed to pick up a rosette at the end for no extra charge.
Went for the two hour ride and it was perfect. A nice mix of walking, trotting and canters. Horses were perfectly behaved and as experienced riders we had little to do other than enjoy the ride as the horses did exactly what was asked. The staff were welcoming and made the day even more enjoyable. Will be back soon.
We had a great experience at Exmoor Riding Centre. They accommodated our last minute booking over Easter and were flexible on time. The Farm owners were incredibly friendly and the horse riding guide Jackie was lovely, knowledgeable and put us at ease. They matched us with the perfect horses who were so well behaved. We went on picturesque tour through the woodlands and had loads of fun trotting round the Exmoor area. This was great value for money and we’d definitely return. Highly recommend to anyone who fancies riding in the area!!
Really great ride- very experienced and knowledgeable lady who took great care of a novice rider. Also clearly loved and cared for the horses who were all so very well looked after.
Booked a hours riding for me and my family. Me and my sister are very experienced riders and horse owners. The lady that helped us onto the horses and the yard was very rude and abrupt. My nephew was there with autism and spoke to him was in a manner which was inappropriate very harsh with little understanding, was told to stand in line and stand against the wall, really spoilt or experience Horses are well fed , but not groomed covered in mud , dirty tails , legs with gunk on their eyes nothing that a good brush couldn’t have fixed !would not recommend as even on the ride You just walk up and turn back on yourself and go exactly the same way down. Not impressed at all. Don’t waste your money.
I loved riding up on the coastal paths with Jackie last week. Not only was I given a lovely horse, but there were stunning views of Lee Bay and we had some fantastic canters through a lot of gorgeous woodland too. Highly recommend!
Excellent riding. Both my wife and son were apprehensive but the staff put them at ease and the horses behaved brilliantly.
Very good with last minute booking. Daughter had an amazing time cantering through the woods and seeing the fantastic views. The horses were brilliant and well looked after and the instructor was lovely and made sure everyone was comfortable.
Had a great 3 hour ride on Baloo, with Jackie at the end of my holiday in September, and the weather held out for us. The views were stunning, forever imprinted in my mind. I also decided to have lunch in the cafe, the food was great. Hope to go back next year, taki g my daughter with me.
Good place for kids Pasties were very nice also
