The building is a huge improvement on the previous structure - bright, modern and light. Staff are friendly. However, the same problems persist: toilets yet again closed, vending machine out of order. The most frustrating thing is poor communication - despite Stand 2 being clearly designated the no. 38 stop and the digital display board confirming this, the bus came in at a different stand. There was no announcement made and if it wasn't for the driver shouting out the imminent departure of this bus we would have missed it. I want to use public transport more but frequent experiences like this make it difficult to have confidence.
Usually nice and clean. Staff always polite and ready to assist. Toilets are out of order at the moment unfortunately
Of you want your bus to be cancelled or late and have no idea this is the station for you. The staff clearly don’t want to work here either, they have a high staff turnover and constantly have driver shortages, always got someone from up north who doesn’t know the route. One port fill in wasn’t told by his management that the mayor roundabout in the city is shut for over a month meaning his route needed a major change, he has no idea where to go and we ended up on a 45 min diversion. The management at this place clearly leaves much to be desired, borates aren’t updated with cancellations, help desk closes before 5 no one has any idea what to trust. It is possible to run a business effectively, but unfortunately this is the perfect example of how not to run a public service. If you can avoid Exeter bus station at all costs. May look modern but is run like an optional service.
Always clean but the toilets are still not open/working. As a disabled person, this is terrible , disabled people might not have the time to seek toilets to use
