Visited the wrong time of year. I'd love to see more colour although it was still a very pleasant walk. I'd love to revisit when it's a riot of colour. Our satnav tired to get us to enter via the exit, but parking was good, lots of spaces. Toilets were available at the entrance and the admission cost wasn't overly expensive. The lady at the entrance was polite and friendly. We did stop for a cup of tea near the sundial. A cup of tea was really expensive, so were the snacks. £1.50 for a mars bar, and £1.40 for a packet of crisps. We spent around 4 hours in the gardens.
Although we missed the rhododendrons and azaleas which flower earlier in the season, this place is still stunning later in the summer months with plenty to show in the way of their herbaceous borders and other attractions. Don't hesitate to visit if you like a walk around some stunning scenery.
Bring your walking shoes for a day spent outside. Gardens are beautiful and I loved the Hydrangea Walk. I wish all the paths were the same material. Some are gravel some are grass and some pavement. It’s very hard on the feet all day with different textures. The restaurant is nice which is setup buffet style different menu items and outdoor seating. I wish the train went the whole way around the grounds for those that have trouble walking long distances.
I had a lovely time at Exbury Garden, I found it so beautiful that me and my wife made it our post-wedding family photo album! Everyone who works here is wholesome and friendly, the scenes are gorgeous and relaxing, pet friendly and a great place to take the kids to explore, play and have fun! I cannot wait to come back here next year during the flower blooming season! I wish I had come earlier to see the field full of dandelions. Biggest thank you to Jane and the Operational team that was so kind to us, and everyone at the reception, and also a big thanks to Dave and the steam rail crew for being a joyful company to be around! Huge gardens, beautifully landscaped, famous for its stunning azaleas & rhododendrons in the spring, but beautiful throughout its opening season. A charming miniature railway runs through part of the grounds & is dog friendly.Lots of main & hidden paths to explore, a lovely place to spend several hours. We upgraded our day ticket to an annual pass so will be returning soon. Restrooms: Several clean toilet blocks around the gardens Dog-friendliness: Dogs welcome on leads, including on miniature train ride. Dog waste bins provided. Picnic area: Benches & picnic tables, lots of grassy areas.
We caught these gardens in spring bloom. There is a large parking lot at the entrance, so you don't have to worry about having to park somewhere nearby. The paths are groomed and well marked. Dogs are also welcome in this area. we spent 4 hours here. I would just like to recommend STURDY SHOES. You can purchase a variety of different flowers and trees upon departure. Dog-friendliness: Psi jsou zde vítáni Picnic area: Našli jsme několik míst ideální pro piknik
What a beautiful place! More plants and trees than you can shake a stick at. The entire place is well maintained and thriving with flora and fauna. The steam train was a winner with the kids as was the little assault course play park. Toilets were clean and there were plenty dotted around the site. I really like that dogs are welcome on a short lead at ALL times There were lots of picnic areas and benches dotted around the site. They had a beautiful garden with a water sprinkler in so the kids could cool off and donkey rides near the old house It's definitely on a par with Mottisfont but for different reasons. We will 100% be back next year to see the Magnolias, Wisteria and Rhododendrons in flower.
What a stunning day. First time visiting and will be returning. Great for children. Great for adults. Great for your mental health and wellbeing. Highly recommended this day out. Hours of walking without realising the steps you can out in, as its so glorious all around you. So floral. Happy Times Playground: Lots of areas for children to play in. A play park too Restrooms: Clean and tidy rest rooms. Dog-friendliness: I'm not a dog owner but saw a few, well behaved dogs on leads enjoying the floral displays Picnic area: Lots of areas to sit and eat. A cafe too
I've visited Exbury Gardens several times over the past few years, and I absolutely adore it. It's one of my favorite gardens in the UK, and it manages to be different every time I visit. I've visited a few times in autumn before, when the spectacular colors truly make it a magical place to wander. We visited recently in early spring, and I didn't expect much to be in bloom yet, but I was pleasantly surprised! There was an abundance of magnolias, camellias, and early rhododendrons, bringing bursts of spectacular color throughout the garden. Spring bulbs were also popping up, eager to greet the spring sunshine. There are areas with manicured formal gardens, while other areas are left to flourish wild and free. You can easily spend 3-4 hours simply meandering through the diverse garden areas. The gardens offer various amenities, including toilets, a charming outdoor cafe, and a steam train. They also offer guided tours for an additional fee and children's activities during school holidays. Overall, Exbury Gardens is just a gorgeous place to visit, whatever the season. You’ll find plenty to see and it’s a great place to escape into nature for an afternoon.
Lovely day, despite the rain, in one of the most beautiful gardens in the country. There is so much to see. There are lots of rest stops too so you can really admire the views.
