I have been coming here several years and have always received a good service. My daughter's wedding dress was very grubby around the hem and has been cleaned spotlessly - they cleaned it a second time as they were unhappy with the initial clean. A good price compared with others and also offered to deliver as the dress wasn't ready when I went in.
Lovely family run local business, great support of elderly and local community and always super friendly. Late hours on Saturday to get the week's dry cleaning sorted. Very highly recommended. Very reasonably priced too.

All what seemed to be a very good service intially turned out to be a nightmare. I simply took my dress for alterations and gave all the details needed i.e the Lady which I believed was the owner measured me and clipped the dress for the perfect fitting for the dress to be tailored. Which then I was given an overall charge of £20 in total. I was told to come back a week after for collection. A week later when I got there as I expected all the requirements have been met I didn't bother to try it whilst there it's only when I got home after trying that I realised that the job wasn't complete. So I took the dress back and explained myself and tried it on for her to see where they've missed. That's when she told me to add another extra £8 charge of which I didn't accept at all after all I had payed for the service already. It was her responsibility to make sure the autoration was done satisfactory and she insisted that I payed the extra £8 of which I also empasised that I was already given a charge which I have already payed for and it wasn't my fault that the dress wasn't altered fully. She further went on to say that She needs to pay the tailor and that money wasn't going to come out of her pocket. I didn't hear known of it, I stood my ground and walked out expecting to come back next week to collect the dress. Today the 23rd of May I have gone back to collect the dress and noticed that a gentle man that worked with her and the Lady were giving each other some funny glances when I walked in which instantly I smelt trouble. From then before I got a chance to say anything she went ahead to say to me the tailor charged her £5 so therefore I should pay of which I responded "No I am not so can I please try my dress". With a very harsh tone which completely threw me out sounding very ANGRY and EXTREMELY RUDE she then said to the guy working there to give me the dress to try on but made it clear to me she is not amending anything if anything else needs to be done to the dress. I ignored her tried to stay so calm. The guy then gave me the dress to try on and I was happy with the results. Immediately after taking off my dress the guy then took it off me asked the lady what to do with it and then I saw him put it at the back. At this point after watching the actions I asked the lady to give me my dress. She then still continued to tell me to pay £5 and that its my fault that the dress was not tailored properly, she accused me of wearing the dress wrongly the first time around. She repeated again as last time to why would she pay the money out of her own pocket. I stood by with what I have been saying which was that I am not paying as it was not my mistake. This debate continued for some time then I asked the guy to put my dress in my bag he again had that funny glance with the lady. He gave her the dress which she then threw it at me, then I said to her to put it in a bag. She then found a ripped hanging bag on the floor tried to put my dress in it. I then said to her to forget it grabbed my dress and put it in my handbag. I could not believe the sort of treatment I got for a min it was seriously SHOCKING. She said to me she never wants me to return to her shop, I am disgusting and that I am the worst customer she's ever had bare in mind this is only because I was not paying her the £5. I would strongly advice anyone to avoid your clothes to be altered here as the woman only focuses on charging you not only on the higher side but at ridiculous price and if you don't comply with the charges and pointing out on the mistakes done she sees red and turns into a nightmare. I HAVE HAD THE WORST, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.
Really good prompt service. Everyone is very friendly and it stays open fairly late.
