I had my eye on a nice red mountain bike for some time now and when I went in I was served by a guy Andrew who at the time when I went into the shop he was fixing bikes ....well there is nothing this guy did not know and by the end he put together a great mountain bike for me ....I think the boss should give the staff member a pat on the back as the guy Andrew was outstanding at his job but my bank account hates him lol lol lol
I purchase a Cannondale bicycle from Evans Cycles, Braehead. It was then booked in for a health check on the 21st of November 2023, a short time after the purchase. 5 weeks have now gone by and I'm yet to receive any correspondence from the store. I have contacted the store several times since they received my bike - which should have been a routine check. I even popped into the branch in person for an update after being unable to get any further forward by phone calls or emails. Apparently my bike requires a warranty repair which no one thought to tell me about I also had to then provide proof of purchase after I found this out which slowed matters down again. The repair may also take an unknown number of weeks before I'm able have it returned to me. The staff have been polite when I've actually been able to get a hold of them. However, the amount of contradicting excuses I've been told are utterly unacceptable. The handling of the entire situation from start to finish has been absolutely awful. If you wish to own a bike but not actually have it to use, Evans Cycles is the place for you. When this situation is resolved it will be the last time I use Evans Cycles for anything.
Absolutely useless bought a bike in November took it back in for a 12 week service and errors to be checked that had been on the bike since i bought it which was a 2 hour drive left the bike at 9am.whn they phoned at 5 o'clock they told me the bike wasn't ready as they couldn't fix the configuration error so they hadn't bothered to service the bike.when I did eventually get them on the phone to rearrange the service the guy said they don't service bikes on Friday Saturdays or Sundays.
Fantastic service! Spoke to Jonathan in person at the shop and he was kind enough to guide me with his professional knowledge to make a decision! Thanks very much keep to the good work:
I received very disappointing service when looking for a Winter cycling jacket. The Endura jacket recommended by the Assistant was only available in black, which, in my opinion, is not a colour to be worn cycling, especially in the Winter. When I asked if the jacket came in a bright reflective yellow, or similar bright colour, I was informed that they didn't stock it. I would have expected the Assistant to have been a bit more helpful and, as a minimum, for them to have checked the Endura catalogue. I took my business elsewhere and do not intend to shop at Evans Cycles again.
Bought a pair carbon shoes that had very little miles on them and the toe rubber was falling off. I took them back and was told wear and tear was the reason. No offer or repair or replacement. Dissapointing for shoes that I paid £130 for. I used Evans a lot and had planned on buying a carbon road bike for my wife from evans. Unfortunately I will take my business else where now.
Nice shop. Well stocked with quality bikes..e.g.Trek
Great service! Visited the shop to see if I could get two parts for a broken front bike light. Thought it was a long shot at best but would ask anyway. Got the new parts no problem - saved a good bike light going to landfill and also saved me £40 for new light. Also got £5 discount on other item I bought at same time. Couldn't ask for any better than this. Very happy customer.
Just had a warranty job done on my specialized kenovo, these guys couldn't be more polite and helpful, will definitely use again and recommend.
Been quite a few times. When I started cycling I thought this shop was quite expensive but soon found out that it was really reasonable and they have a varied arrange to suit all budgets. I had bought a gold service which was carried out to perfection and my bike was like new when I got it back. This was sold to me as I was having problems with my bottom bracket and was told that this would be reduced if to a the silver service if it didn't need it which it promptly was. Any time I've been in the staff have all been really knowledgeable and friendly. the bike mechanics could decipher what I was on about despite me not knowing the name of some parts. Will be a regular to this store as generally most bike shops are really snobby and up themselves and it's refreshing that this place has a lovely relaxed yet professional vibe to it.
