Euro tunnel trip. Great speedy service, got moved on to a slightly earlier train on the way back. UK terminal was nice has an AA shop, cash machine that hands out either pounds or Euros, duty free shop (don't know why, i don't know any one who would buy duty free in Britain and take it to France) it is cheaper in France. The Calais terminal well we never found it! We went through passport control customs and where then directed directly to the check inn barrier before we could find the shop.

This place is slick. From the English end the check in process and security checks are quick and efficient. There is the equivalent of an airport duty free area, with some food and drink outlets. Loading your vehicle is a simple process in so far as you literally drive onto the train. 35 minutes to cross. Brill

We arrived 2 hrs early but as always our train was delayed by over an hour. We where on the French side which has nothing worth bothering about once you enter the terminus. Updates where non-existent and calling uk customer services just said everything was fine. Once we did embark all was fine, quick trouble free crossing and out onto motorway without trouble. Still works out quicker to get the ferry though.

Rock Bottom, absolutely no traffic management. Checked in on time. Long passport queue, pulled out for random additional checks. Was put back at end of next queue. Missed train. Only terrible catering from a van in waiting area.

Excellent stopping off point before journey to France, Europe. A good balance of eating establishments (great for an early breakfast, late lunch or just a coffee) and duty free shops. The facilities are clean and well cared for making any stopover stress free.
