Can't believe the food they sell at the deli is classed as edible. Sunday dinner was the blandest ive ever ate, gravy like water with no taste, roasties would nearly break a tooth theyre so undercooked, and the ham was so fatty to be inedible, i mean do they even taste what they're selling before it goes out? I'm assuming not. Have experienced a lot of issues with pricing too, as in marked price is different when purchasing, always higher. Then having to call for duty manager over and over whilst a massive queue forms behind which is embarrassing, ive brought this up on several.occaisions yet it still happens over and over, i mean surely this stuff is barcode scanned when marked for sale price. Displays in tills are rarely working too so you cant see what you're being charged, have to ask for a reciept too a lot of the time. The prices are very high too for a community supermarket in skeoge, another place taking advantage of a cost of living crisis is shameful. But who cares everyone in a deprived area will spend their money here because its the only store here. I cant understand why these places win awards, obvioulsy very little competition im guessing.
Quality of the food at the hot food counter is abysmal. Bread stale, bacon so hard it’s inedible, clearly left over from yesterday and reheated. Then waited 5 minutes at the till because the staff were standing at the side talking to each other and avoided looking over obviously hoping someone else would do their job for them. How does this place get any business at all?
Shop closed before 11, stated closing time a lot of people rely on this shop that live close for gas and electric etc, the staff look like they don’t want to be there and I don’t blame them, the management are much the same everything’s seems to be a bother to them, shop needs seriously looking at there an embarrassment to the other shop in greysteel which is great. They could learn something for greysteel I use both shops daily and greysteel is the only one i like.
Fantastic shop fully stocked at all times got my turkey and ham plus extra as usual from here absolutely great food. This shop gives so much support to local events, schools etc. And also local employment and best part is their friendly helpful staff especially the more experienced ones. Can't say senior in case it taken the wrong waylol. Looking forward to shopping here in 2022. Happy new year all
A fantastic supermarket which is not only local but the prices rival local supermarkets. The staff are all very friendly & the service is quick.nThere is now an off licence here.nIt's a perfect all round shop.
