Great service from the friendly team at the Chester Branch; Joel was particularly helpful with options for the vehicle and alternatives in regards to renting the right vehicle for my needs. Europcar have a good phone support system for bookings and amendments. The Manchester Airport Staff are helpful too; there’s been no shenanigans in regards to making up stories for the pseudo scratches to the paintwork after returning vehicle as is often the case with some other unscrupulous hire companies. Recommended.
Hired van for my house move - side door didn’t open when parked only opened when driving at 60mph with all my stuff flying about inside. Customer service response zero. Don’t bother. County van and car rental much better. Also before Europcar respond check your emails to CS at 9.33am on 9/5/24 about a sprinter. Your 10% off your next car hire can’t be used on vans is derisory.
Five stars given for Simon. Picked car up today for a trip away. Couple of staff members sat in the office and didn't come to the desk to greet me or other customers who could visibly see me stood at the desk. Staff members shouted Simon who was on his lunch, Simon came to the desk and booked out the car to me. He was very thorough, didn't rush to go back to his lunch or to get the queue down while others made no effort to help Simon. Thank you Simon, enjoy your surfing!
Had a terrible experience with these guys recently. A mixture of problems from head office customer services and the local branch. Issues include: incorrect vehicle groups being delivered, vehicles being delivered 6hrs late, vehicles being delivered without a full tank, customer services unable to log complaint, incorrect account details, no invoice being sent, promises to call back plus many other minor issues. Total loss of confidence with them, try enterprise down the road
If I could rate zero stars I would!! Booked a large van last night online for todays date, 17/2 10am pick up, got there after driving 1.5hrs only to be told there were no large vans available until next week!! I asked why the system let's you book and pay then when it clearly doesn't know it's own inventory?! There was no answer for this, just an apology. I stated I needed this van to move out of my property as keys to the old one need handing in Monday. She said she would refund me the £72 and not charge me the £48 cancellation fee..... . Good cos I didn't cancel it!! I was told the money would be credited back to my account within a few hours yet here we are, 9hours later and I still don't have it, I have no money to hire another company until the refund is issued and I still need to be moved!! I'm having to do loads in my small car and it's gong to cost a fortune in fuel whereas if I'd got the van I booked, I'd have had it all done in one go!! Thanks Europcar for ruining moving day for me and my 3 year old!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Very easy to deal with and collection/drop off was quick and easy. Highly recommended and will use again.

Always the Europcar Chester people do a good job. No hard sell upsell nonsense. And they are honest. So they get my regular business.
Fabulous car , very clean and staff were very friendly. I have rented before but this was by far the best and maybe the most value for money. No hard sell either!
It is debateable whether the slow puncture occurred prior to me taking possession of the car, or in my possession. However, what is not in dispute is that another tyre was below the legal limit. I had to take 2 hours out of my working day to get this repaired.
