Definitely worth a visit. Fun and educational for children & adults. £1 for visitors in receipt of universal credit over the summer holidays. Full price tickets can be used as annual passes. You have to book online in advance with a time slot. Pay and display parking. Beautiful views on Liverpool sky line. Staff are very friendly & helpful. There’s a small shop, cafe and craft room. Climbing frame upstairs. There are some quieter areas to sit in if anyone feels overwhelmed.
We liked it! We visited it for the first time with 5 year old and he had great 2 hours there. Science show was great part too.nI agree that all the “button based” games might be little boring and difficult for small kids, but overall feeling was good.
We recently visited Eureka! Science + Discovery, and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience for my little one. From the moment we walked in, the excitement was palpable. We visited on a weekend, and fortunately, there was no wait time to get in, which made things even better.nnThe exhibitions were incredibly engaging and interactive, perfect for curious young minds. My child was particularly fascinated by the hands-on exhibits that allowed him to explore and discover new things at his own pace. The variety of topics covered was impressive, ensuring that there was something for every interest.nnThe play area was another highlight of our visit. It was well-designed, safe, and spacious enough for children to run around and enjoy themselves. My little one could have spent hours there, laughing and playing with other kids. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the space both educational and fun.nnIn terms of logistics, I would recommend purchasing tickets in advance, especially if you're planning to visit during peak times. It saves time and ensures you can get in without any hassle.nnOverall, Eureka! Science + Discovery is a must-visit for families. It's not only a place for learning but also a spot where kids can have a blast. We will definitely be coming back!
Me and my 6 year old did have a nice time, staff were friendly and we didn’t have to queue and the fact that you can return within the year with original ticket is brilliant, however it is very small. I know they have the burrow for the little ones which we didn’t go to but the main museum I don’t think is suited to small children or kids who can get lose focus easily. If kids don’t take the time to read/listen on each of the exhibits they won’t really understand what’s going and it will just be under 2 hours of clicking buttons. My son kept getting distracted/bored which he doesn’t usually on trips out. But I think it just depends on each individual child. If I had to compare eureka with the space port there before it closed down, I’d just space port.
OK so. You need to buy your tickets in advance. It might say that on the website but I didn't see it. Arrived without tickets and had to stand outside and buy them on my phone.nnI like the place I do. But it's expensive. Paid almost £70 for 3 adults and one child. You do get an annual membership so it's good if you wanna come back but a lot of money if you don't.nnFeel like the kids would be bored with too many visits so not sure how much value you get out of an annual membership.
