This shop for some reason has the most unfriendly and rude staff that I have ever encountered in the retail business. There are so few shops of this kind they should be doing their upmost to avoid losing customers to the internet where to be honest you can buy the same items much cheaper very often. I have visited on 6 separate occasions now, spent a substantial amount of money and each and every time left saying never again- well now for sure I will not be returning. I have never been spoken to with such disregard or sneered at by an owner & cashier and after 6 visits I can only assume that this is the normal way for them to speak to their customers.
I needed a variety of cookie cutters for a special baking project. The big chains did not have what I needed. An assistant in Hobbycraft suggested I try here where I was able to buy what I needed and more. Staff could not have been more helpful. Great range of cutters and moulds for icers and clay modellers plus some exquisitely crafted work on display. Find time to vist this lovely shop. Opposite Great Baddow library and easy parking at the VIneyards off Pump Hill.
I went into the Essex Icing Centre this morning. As an inexperienced cake decorater, I hadn't a clue what I needed. The lady was very helpful and very friendly and I came out of the shop with everything I needed and more confidence.
The ladies in here are rude to the point its cruel. They do not acknowledge you and when you dare to ask for help you are greeted with sneers , like you have walked into their living room. So disappointed as there are so few of these shops left.
Went to Essex Icing Centre for the first time with my wife she was amazed at the amount of colours they carry in there ribbon section also had a good rappour with the customers that were in the shop staff were most helpfull even took time to show my wife how to make Lilly of the Valley found the prices very competitive to on line and what my wife purchased was cheaper than on line will be going back
Just discovered this little store loving it so far been there twice already I'm sure I'll be going there more often.
Really friendly staff and a great shop with everything you would ever need. Perfect in every way
