Where do I start?! Beautiful venue. Friendly attentive staff. As a chef, I can be quite picky with my food. But couldn't fault either the food or service. HIGHLY recommend for the cheap price! Will definitely recommend to others and will most certainly be back.

Drove 100 miles round trip yesterday to confirm that this hotel would be suitable for a holiday over New Year following an exchange of emails which confirmed there was one accessible room. Found out why so little is mentioned on their website about access. The car park is loose gravel which is near impossible for wheelchairs or motor scooters to navigate. The front door has a sill with no ramp and then a sharp right turn into a narrow hall. The reception area is somewhat cramped and awkward when others are around. We asked to see the wheelchair accessible room and found that the access to the room was through an exterior door with two thresholds with no ramps and then along an outside loose gravel path. Impossible for us at this time of year and unimaginable in a bleak winter. We left and drove home again. Very disappointed as we had been told the food and service was excellent. Find it incomprehensible in 2017 that a hotel can offer virtually no access for less able people and surprised in view of this that the AA give them any stars at all.

Wouldnt revisit, nice layout, good service but food on our party night for Christmas was Al a la carte. Roast dinner looks rubbish served like this, didnt get monies worth.

Attended a wedding at Esseborne Manor, it was great day. The hotel has beautiful grounds and is well presented inside. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious.
