Not a great train station could do with a good clean up rubbish on the stairs the footbridge needs a good lick of paint. The station /area was very smelly. There is disabled access to platform 2. Platform 1 has no disabled access only stairs. No ticket barriers at this station and southeasten services stop at this station.
It is like any normal London suburban station. However, it also has a major road right next to it, which leads to an unusual staggered platform layout. Also it only gets two trains per hour with Thameslink services skipping this station.
Awful, dead town. If you’re on the train, go 2 stops further to Abbey Wood, take the Elizabeth line to Tottenham Court Road, take the northern line to Euston, take the victoria line to Kings Cross St Pancras, take the GreatNorthern to Cambridge, take the CrossCountry to Stansted Airport, board a RyanAir plane to Essaouira Mogador Aeroport, take a taxi to Essaouira, and stay in one of the hotels there.
Very average and usually quiet suburban station in South East London. Step free access is only provided on the Slade Green bound platform as the London bound platform is only accessible via a footbridge and outside of announcements, train destination displays, a ticket machine and oyster card readers, the station doesn't really offer too much.nnService frequency is decent enough and local buses stop on the main road nearby. Oh, there's also a small car park in front of the station too.
Erith is a best kept secret....probably why it has been completely overlooked by BT to install Fibre Optic Telecom cablesnOn the plus side Erith has all the essentials a family needs including open space to breathe and doesn't have the congestion and density of population of central London. Support the Erith Playhouse!
