I was seen yesterday via the Urgent Care Unit, and not only was the service efficient, all staff members were friendly and helped move through treatment quickly. A mention for Dom who was very helpful! I was in and out with treatment in under an hour!
My husband was seen yesterday for potential DVT. Bloods run but no ultrasound available at the weekend!!!! Discharged with no further action. Long story short - private ultrasound confirmed DVT. Triage and treatment at UCH A&E includes three weeks of daily injections.n2024 and our hospitals in England are not fully operational 24/7. Must do better.
The level of care in this hospital is nothing short of shocking. If you wamt to get better or see your relatives get better do not enter this so called hospital. The level of care is nonexistent especially from the so called professionals.nMy 50 year old brother passed away last week all thanks to Epsom hospital and the so called professionals that work there.
Just edited this review to add that it applies specifically to the SWLEOC unit at the hospital.nJust had a meniscus operation today, as an outpatient. I was very impressed by pretty much everything about the hospital, it operated just as you would want. Very efficient “check-in” first thing in the morning, meeting both the surgeon and the anaesthesist. Lots of questions to plan the actual surgery effectively. I woke up quite quickly after the general anaesthetic, feeling perfectly fine. The nursing staff were great, and I was seen quickly by physiotherapists to set me up for my discharge. They also set up future follow up sessions and a review meeting with the surgeon. Pharmacy provided pain medication. The atmosphere was calm and caring throughout. Frankly, I was a little stunned at how good the experience was.
One star is too much. You deprived my mum of any dignity through your neglect, lack of decent care and relief from pain in her final few days after denying her hospice. You should all be ashamed of yourselves, particularly the team on Alex ward.
