So went for a meal for my brothers birthday meal, was 20 minutes late being seated even though we had a reservation, waited another hour and 20 minutes for our starter and we've eventually given up and decided to all go to ours and order in. The manager didn't apologise just stormed off to the kitchen and told them to cancel our table, didn't offer a refund for drinks or anything. I told the waitress not to worry because it wasn't her fault they were awfully short staffed but I think the managers attitude was disgraceful.
Has my first meal here at Enzo's tonight and I can honestly say it has been one of the best Italian meals I have had in a very long time. The food was beautiful and very fresh, and the staff are so lovely, they can't do enough for you. We will certainly return again soon.
Had to wait almost an hour for starters of prawn cocktail and garlic mushrooms. Then the main of spaghetti Bolognese was horrible bland and no sauce. First and last time. No way is it Italian. Any Italian would be embarrassed serving food like that! Not cheap either. Service terrible. I complained about the food and the waitress was apologetic and came back from the kitchen saying it's all prepared fresh tonight. I didn't mention anything about freshness there was no taste to it. I put loads of salt on just to taste something. It was like mince thrown in a dish with spaghetti piled on top.
As always a most enjoyable visit. The staff are attentive and friendly. The food is to a high standard. The owner Enzo cannot do enough for you. He wants all his customer to leave happy and satisfied. I go here for larger family occasions with plus 10 people and have never experienced any problems with the food or service. It has a great atmosphere and is a restaurant anyone should visit.
Me and my partner come here regularly. The food is amazing, well prepared and lovely portion sizes. The staff are so friendly and provide really good high quality service. Enzo himself is always around, making the whole Experiance enjoyable. The atmosphere of the place and the building is beautiful. 5* and more
What can we say ...a great night food was excellent .. Staff were great ... Not hurried like most places very laid back... Nothing too much trouble . Plenty of time to enjoy your meal without being rushed to the next course Four of us had the soup which was hot and wholesome. 2 had chicken with cheese cream sauce ... Very tasty and cooked to perfection. 3Had fillet steak tender and melt in the mouth. The sweets were gorgeous . All washed down with white wine .. We usually go to the bistro at wentworth for our family meal out but fancied a change... More laid back not rushed able to rest and chat between courses .. Will definatly go again
I hate writing poor reviews because as a business owner myself, I know how damaging bad reviews can be to a business but in this case I have no option. First of all there 10 adults in our party and only a couple had no complaints, so on a percentage basis alone, that's not good. The second deciding factor was my partner Janet, who rather than complain about any food, usually complains at me for being too fussy, so when she has cause to complain herself as in this case, there can be no doubt that the food was terrible. She ordered a garlic bread starter which despite being only a few mm thick was uncooked in the middle of its thickness and yet burned on the edges. Not only was it uncooked but there was very little taste of any kind and what taste it did have was bitter. One of the other adults in our party had the same starter and her's was just as bad. Another adult in our party had a cheese version which was also uncooked in the middle but thanks to the taste of the cheese masking that and giving it some flavour, that was eaten, despite being uncooked. I spoke to the owner pointing out the deficiencies and although he immediately offered to take them off the bill, there was no 'genuine' or 'sincere' apology, for it spoiling our meal and our party. Instead I got the feeling that he didn't take complaints well and just considered me a moaner. While I accept that restaurants can get very busy which can cause 'some' delay, the time it took for both the starters and the mains to arrive, was in my opinion excessive and action should have been taken to avoid this being the case. When the mains did arrive, my own choice Breaded Veal and spaghetti bolognese, which I thought was going to be 'just' breaded veal with spaghetti in a bolognese sauce, as I've eaten elsewhere, turned out to be, a huge plate of actual beef bolognese, plus breaded veal slices, which is a strange combination that I've never seen anywhere else. The reason I made this choice was because I'd had some previous examples of this 'veal' meal elsewhere, which had been very nice. However, in this case; 1 there were uncooked sections of the breaded coating, 2 the breaded coating was either made up of or somehow formed a soggy dough section, between the meat and the breadcrumbs making it soggy rather than crispy to eat, 3 the veal was tasteless and mostly gristle. The end result was that I didn't eat much of the veal and although the beef bolognese was edible, I was put off the whole meal by the poor veal. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of allowing one of our party to pass on my complaint to a waitress instead of speaking to the owner direct again, so after passing through a number of people the details were changed. Later on I went to speak to the owner and rather than apologise for the poor meal, he made a snide joke about my reason for complaining, which pretty much guaranteed this review and he can consider himself lucky that I didn't give it just one point. Out of the 9 people eating that night, only 2 were mainly happy with their meals, while the rest were unhappy in one way or another. One final observation, while the seating area is is good condition, there are other substantial areas in serious need of even the most basic maintenance painting, which lower the tone of the whole experience. Not a place I'll be eating at again, as there are many places that offer much better food.
Absolutely love this place. The food is always fabulous and the staff are all so helpful and friendly. Nothing is ever too much trouble and there's always a warm welcome!
Excellent food. Steaks are a bit pricy but top drawer quality. Monsay and tuesday is 2 meals for the price of 1 on pasta and pizza if you're on a budget. Staff are freindly and proffesional.
The best place in Rotherham to get a great meal. Food is great, staff are fantastic and the veal and steaks are to die for. Mussel starter is also a must. I eat here when ever I can.
