Mixed experience here. Firstly, the location itself is a complete pain in the neck. Difficult to access and park up anywhere. Double yellow lines, so you're actually breaking the law even to drop off the vehicle at the end of the day. Car park itself is an absolute joke. Vehicles constantly juggling around because they don't have enough room. Other than that, the guys in there seems friendly and helpful. ...
These guys are absolutely fantastic at what they do, they were able to help me and were great at explaining the whole process. They have a very professional and respectful approach to their customers and I can't sing their praises enough. Thank you Ross and Moe, you made the experience very enjoyable.
Really poor. We booked a van online with two weeks notice, made arrangements for collections and deliveries of furniture but were completely failed by the Bury St Edmunds branch of Enterprise. We arrived to collect the van to find that there was no vehicle available, the allocated Ford Transit seemingly off the road with bald tyres. I would be surprised if these lost lost all their tread overnight so presumably no prior checks were made. There was no alternative available and over a week later we have yet to receive a refund.
Simple and straightforward service. We were well looked after by Jon and Alister, who gave us detailed and clear explanations on the terms of the service and vehicle information. Could not ask for a better service.
Absolutely horrendous experience at bury st edmunds! We have used enterprise for years and never had any issue with other locations. We will never use enterprise again due to being treated with bad manners and rude staff members. Not only were we asked to take the hire car for its service for them, they also recalled the car 19 days into our 28 day rental. Ive been charged different amounts each week through this branch as well as had unauthorised payments come out of my account. Majority of the staff at bury st edmunds are not helpful in anyway and also extremely rude. I witnessed 4 other customers in the branch complaining to get the response of shrugged shoulders. Shambles
Ross was very helpful on the day I collected the van, even though my pick up time was delayed by a couple hours he was able to make up for it. Highly recommend and will use again.
Would give 0 stars if I could. Was given a rental car through insurance as my car was written off, all was well. When I took the rental car back, I was charged £250 for wear and tear on a tyre. Was annoyed but thought it is what is it, was told the car was being sent to get a new tyre that day and I would be contacted with a refund as the tyre would not cost £250. Few days later I get an email saying I have a parking fine and they want another £35 for admin fees? At this point I was still waiting on a refund for said tyre. Anyway, I had proof that I had paid for parking for said parking fine so rang them and explained this and was told to email the traffic violations which I did, a week later I’m still waiting to hear back about the refund on the tyre and also from the traffic violations. Yet another £35 is taken from my bank. Absolute joke of a company and the communication is just ridiculous!! Would avoid at all cost!
So whilst doing a survey about this branch, I put 'might or might not' choose enterprise - the actual answer is, I WOULD choose Enterprise, but only Bury St Edmunds for now, as they absolutely have the right idea when it comes to exceptional customer service, care and attention to detail. They were nothing but kind from the minute I stepped foot in there, I was actually kind of baffled as to why everyone was being so nice as my experience of Enterprise historically has always been arrogance, low morale, egotistical behaviour etc, this was never at the Bury St Edmunds branch though, this was my first time visiting this branch, and the comfort I got from the service received means I will always use this branch going forwards and recommend it to others. They have helped me with a vehicle at very short notice whereby I was going to be stranded on the street with my 11 year old daughter, then allowed me to continue my hire for a further week at a fantastic rate, they are absolute life savers! Every single member of staff in that building are polite, kind, willing to go the extra mile just to see you satisfied. Very laid back and attentive individuals, not trying to make a fast buck in any way, shape or form, even though that is their job, to earn commission I think! My personal opinion? ABSOLUTELY use the guys and girls from this branch to train other branches as to how to provide good customer service and care, seriously I mean it, this is how it's done. I would NEVER have gone back to Enterprise after my previous experiences at a specific North Essex branch, but now I know this branch exists, that has changed. There's something about people from Bury St Edmunds, it's like they're just always happy, kind, supportive with zero negativity - it's a great way to be because as you can see it impacts others in the best way possible. Been calling them all day: 11:00am, 12:30pm, 16:00 and 16:30 and no answer, just rings and rings and rings. Zero Customer service available at this branch.
This location is beyond unprofessional! My car was filthy and the car also had a recall on it. The manager at this location is horrible!!!
