I cannot and will not fault the customer service at Holyhead, the guys were so friendly, totally knowledgeable and thorough, even James the student who was working in Holyhead.nnThe reason for the low stars, is the vehicle itself, i do get bangs and scrapes, people who hire these things sometimes don’t really care about them, however sending a vehicle out when it has a cracked wing mirror, faulty indicators EML warnings and the cab was just filthy, despite Enterprise’s own “complete clean pledge pictured below this vehicle was in no way clean, i am not going to blame the staff in Holyhead it may have come from another site, but this vehicle should not have been on the road, if there had been another van i would have refused this one, but we had major time constraints so we’re stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Just a few things with Enterprise and Holyhead. We are now back in Australia, rented at Holyhead in early September. We have travelled in Ireland and the UK twice now over the last 6 years and although Enterprise is our first choice have rented Enterprise twice and Hertz twice, purely because of a flight package. Enterprise beats Hertz hands down for two reasons. Firstly they don't rip you off with the credit card debit card upsell. They didn't last time, they did this time making an Ireland hire very expensive. It is a pure upsell as a debit card, or the one we have, can be precharged with the amount of cover required, then released if all OK. Rip off. Secondly and probably most importantly, the Enterprise staff are invested in their customers far far far more than Hertz. Enterprise have been great to deal with people wise on the two occasions we have hired. A mention to Maisey who effected the hire and who contacted us after we returned our car an hour or so early. Tried to contact you via Mark Sweeney's email but I suspect I have the wrong address. Hire was all good Maisey, we were coming back to Bath from Cornwall and really had to have a little time up our sleeve to cater for traffic. The fact that Maisey made that contact is why I have so much time for them - 'just checking all was OK ...' I'll guarantee you wouldn't get that with Hertz. To anyone out there who may read this if you have the choice of Enterprise, choose them all the time. Most times they will probably be a cheaper rate anyway, not including the Hertz rip off! Cannot fault the service at Holyhead. Maisey was lovely and even drove me to the ferry terminal which was unexpected and so very appreciated. My Enterprise car hire experience was exceptional - definitely recommend Enterprise if driving around the UK and want to drop off in Holyhead to get one of the many ferries.
We rented an SUV from this location on July 12th, 2024. Great service from the team at this location. They picked us up from the ferry port and brought us back to the office to complete the paperwork on the rental. I am always impressed with Enterprise and their ability to hire great people.
A great experience with Enterprise, again.nnCiaran, Thomas, James were all professional, courteous and great to deal with.nnSo too the staff member who dropped us and our luggage to the ferry terminal after we brought the car back. Excellent customer service.nnThe Volvo XC 60 we hired was a fantastic car.
