Was involved in a hit and run incident, took 6 months to start investigations. I always had to ring up to find any updates, all employees have no idea what they’re doing. In the end, never found the driver of the hit and run, waste of money!
Their admin error caused me to get £600 fine and 6 points on my licence. Avoid!!!
Absolutly vile company. Cancelled insurance with the in November 2017 due to moving to a new property. Four years later sent a bill for unpaid premiums after this date for an unspecified number of month. Have proof direct debits stopped in November but are not willing to listen to any kind of reason. Even the sum they come up with make no sense. Do not use these crooks, avoid like the plague
I would give 0 if i could. Renewal quote gone up by 85% in a year with no explanation and no claims from us. Insane! Didn't even bother discussing it with them after such shocking news. Plenty of great cheaper options out there. What an appalling way to treat current clients after such a rough year. Clearly they are making us pay for their lost profits.
A bunch of negative experiences. But nothing too costly. They refuse most claims for reasons unbeknown to legislature. They hire very poor contractors and external emergency claim personnel. Quite costly in comparison. They find many excuses to why not to pay out your emergency claim. Staff members are quite subjective in their analysis of claims. It seems like its every man/woman for themselves! On their policy it clearly states, they will pay out if the general functioning of the house is compromised. This is not true, they don't pay out if drains are blocked. And its in their interest for you to find your own contractor when something serious happens. The engineers they send out are under qualified and not friendly. One engineer actually caused a repeat problem twice! Customer service is hit and miss, some are nice, some are absolute devil's. OK: so they paid out one claim for me, of £308/£324. But it took several months and about 10 hrs of mind numbing calls.
1st notice of a renewal was on the day - I have no recollection to agreeing to an automatic renewal. Locked out my account when trying to access to check this - locked out because they changed systems, not because of forgetting a password. Unable to find a contact number on their website via mobile. Ended up cancelling DD as I couldn't reach them. When I finally did get them it was outwith my cancellation period and I got hit with a cancellation fee. Still don't have access to my account to check if I agreed for an auto renewal.
Not an easy company to deal with. There's is no way to cancel a renewal without spending time on the telephone. The renewal was four times as much as the original price I paid yet they still tried to negotiate while trying to cancel.
