Our sewing group travelled from Harrogate to Express Mills for what we thought would be a basic visit and shopping session.We were warmly greated by Christine, offered bucks fizz or orange juice! Christine thoroughly explained the family history of the mill and how they'd got to where they are now. She showed us some innovations they had created. We were then joined by Charles Christine's son who added more fascinating and amusing information. We were then allowed to roam freely around the extensive fabrics and haberdashery. Obviously purchases were made, the quality and prices were too good to pass up on.nI can thoroughly recommend a visit, either as a group or individual, you will not be disappointed and will be greated warmly by this true British family business. Thank you.
I visited recently with the sewing group I belong to in Harrogate. What a warm welcome you gave us. True Lancashire hospitality. Such passion for what you do. My experience of the service Empress Mills offer is first class. I am a dressmaker and quilter and the quality of the fabric is always good. When there is a problem it is rectified quickly and without fuss. The videos are great as they give a good idea of how a fabric might drape and it's weight. This is so helpful when buying online when you can't feel the fabric for yourself. This company is my go to online store and I am never disappointed with my orders . Great work Empress Mills team and thank you from a happy stitcher.
